Here's a rare shot. Two Monorail Blacks - Mark IV (left), Mark VI (right)

And sorry for multi-posting, but I wanted to see the picture when typing, haha.

Okay...

Mark IVs have MORE windows because of the doors, but the windows are smaller.
The Mark IVs look smaller in scale, I noticed that... They look shorter as well.
The stripes look different, as the Mark IVs had a slightly skinnier line, and the stripe ends differently on the noses of the trains.
The Mark VIs had rearview mirrors, and the noses look slightly shorter to me too...

Maybe you guys can point out more that I never noticed...

There are lots of differences between the two train models. I can't quote them all here, but a few...

* The Mark IVs had a single door on each side of each cab, and they latched shut. When the pilot hit a button, they'd all pop open. Then a CM had to run down the length of the train and slam them all shut manually before departing. The new trains have the double doors with automatic controls.

* The old trains were shorter (height) than the new ones.

* The old trains had hard moulded plastic seats and no standing room (from what I remember). The new ones obviously have more standing room than sitting room.

There's a lot more mechanical differences too...I'm sure someone will chime in.

11 1/2, and I will explain the 1/2 part.

The colors are as listed...

RED
ORANGE
CORAL
YELLOW
LIME
GREEN
TEAL
BLUE
GOLD
BLACK
SILVER

I consider the next two to be the 1/2, because it is going to be the 12th train, but if I am correct, the 12th color has not been officially announced, and it will be one of these two...
MAROON
PEACH

Teal was made from the 2 cab cars and 4 cars furthest away from the accident on both Purple and Pink. The 12th train is being made with the cabs and 4 cars closest to the accident. The cabs were destroyed, so new ones are being made.

Here is a diagram to show you...

<==||==||==||==||==||==|X|==||==||==||==||==||==>
The bolder cars here are the ones that made Teal...

<==||==||==||==||==||==X==||==||==||==||==||==>
The ones here are the ones being used to make the 12th train. The checked the cars behind the cabs, and fixed them, but they had to fabricate new cabs...

Hope this helps, lol.

You should list Purple and Pink as retired colors.

Peach seems too close to Coral. They should go with Maroon or come up with a clever idea (maybe a design rather than color) for the 12th train.
