I too am a steak eater, I have the diet of a puma (red meat red meat red meat).

1 dinning credit places

Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge)
Grand Floridian Cafe (Grand Floridian)
Captain's Grille (Yacht club)
Le Cellier (For now but going to 2 credits soon)

2 credits and IMHO much better

Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club)
california Grill (Contemporary)
Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Citrico's (Grand Floridian cafe)

Not on the dinning plan but the best steaks at WDW

Shula's (Dolphin)

Sorry no pics (but welcome to the boards). I enjoyed the steak I had at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. If you're not staying at the resort, and if you don't have a car, it's not the most convenient place to go (best bet would be to take a bus from one of the theme parks, OR a bus from your resort to Downtown Disney, then walk or take a boat over, it's like a 10 minute walk from the Marketplace side of DTD). But we enjoyed our night there very much, and it's still the tastiest 1-credit steak I've had (though I've never been able to get a reservation into Le Cellier, but as that's about to become a Signature Dining location for dinner, that may be a moot point). It's certainly not themed in an extraordinarily "Disney" way, if anything, it feels like a restaurant one may find at a country club, in keeping with the theme of the resort (and being so close to one of the golf courses probably helps make that vibe). I had the strip without the lump crabmeat. Very tender & juicy (even at medium-well).

Welcome to the boards! I also live in TX...which has kind of made me spoiled with steaks. We're trying Citrico's on our last night and if I'm in a steak mood- I'll definitely be trying their filet.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED my steak at Le Cellier but that's going up to 2 credits for dinner soon. The Brown Derby also serve me an amazing steak but that's also 2 credits. :slurp:

Kona Cafe's teriyaki New York Strip is AMAZING...I get it with the Yukon Gold Potatoes and broccolini, with the teriyaki sauce on the side. Get it every time I go.

Agree 100% Great steak.

The filet at California Grill is outstanding as well.

It's a Signature, but the best steak I've ever had on property was the beef tenderloin I had two nights ago at Artist Point. Worth every penny!

Thanx everyone everyplace sounds so good. I wish I could eat everywhere! But then it would be a monty python movie aand no body would want me exploding everywhere. I'm thinkin maybe we might give up 2 ts credits for a good place. But if not then for sure le cellier for lunch since that will still be 1 credit. We plan on payy oop for 1 or 2 meals any ways. I wish we could afford the dxddp but that's way to much yummys and to much mula.

So glad there other disney freaks out there my husband thinks I'm crazy worrying about where we are goin to much at.

In my mind you can't beat California Grill for steak. They have so many good things on the menu, but I alway send up with the filet. It's so freaking juicy and delicious.

Had the filet at California Grill, Yachtsman, and Le Cellier. Yachtsman was the best in my opinion. Just had filet at Shula's and while the quality of meat may be superior (as many have posted), the preparation was lacking.

I tend to put steaks into two categories, sauced and unsauced, for this reason. While I love steaks that come glazed/sauced/etc. (as almost every steak at WDW is) there is something quite a bit different about the appeal of a plain piece of meat with just salt and pepper.

This is very tough for me as i am a chef and only order the best of aged Angus meats, but for one TS, the ribeye i had last dec at Kona was excellent. Not a big fan of lecellier. cant believe its going signature. Shulas is great for steak straight up, as we have one here in Cleveland, never disapointing, but we have many great steak places here. Plus im from a city with many great chefs and restaurants. Michael Symon! Disney has good food, but not great by any means, even signatures.

Jiko's Filet with Mac & Cheese is amazing. I've had it there twice and both were equally good. By far one of the best filets I've ever eaten anywhere! It's also a great dining experience and you get to spend a little time at the beautiful AKL!
