MM&Y closing for replacement

Yes, I realize that (I'm a lurker here); however, I find it a bit odd it's not on any public calendars yet. I know Disney has announced things last minute, but this is getting really close. It's not even on the Travel Agent refurb calendar yet... Not doubting Martin at all, but perhaps it got moved back? Martin, can you check your internal calendars again and see if the date remains the same?

I'm not even sure Disney considers this notification worthy. The show never gets listed on the website schedule. Plus, short notice seems to be thing for Disney when you look at how DLR just gave three week notice on an Indiana Jones refurb and two week notice on changing out Splash Mountain for Tiki Room on evening EMH. I'm not sure that TDO really knows what it is doing until the last minute these days.

Anything along the lines of Dreams can only be good! Half of Wishes pyro are small and would not be missed

Hrm, I find most of the pyro in Wishes to be extremely effective. Take away any of them, and the show doesn't work as well. I wonder, which pyro would you actually cut?

I'm cautiously optimistic this will be a 'plus' over the old show. Most of us had no love at all for the photos part of that show, but the technology and format had so much potential. Hopefully this is Disney reacting to that feedback about the first show and this will be an improvement. I'm pretty hopeful on this one..

Terrible name! They couldn't come up with anything better?

Anyway -- I wonder if this will be essentially MM&Y minus the labor-intensive choosing of photos. This is suggested by the blog post saying they're keeping "favorite elements of the current show." It's awfully soon for them to be producing a new projection show.
