The team is something like 10-15 in games he starts and at least 5 times he has left with a lead and the bullpen imploded. Feel bad for the guy.

In the WS against the Tigers he went 2-1 while Denny McLain (31-6 in the regular season) went 1-2. The surprise pitching star of the series was Mickey Lolich, who won games 2, 5 and 7 for Detroit.

Anyone interested in the A's using an 'opener' and their pitching strategy? Severino didn't last long*, and the Yankees effectively used this strategy last season.
