That was a great nail-biter tonight. I think @Nemo14 had her hands full with a busy day, but I could still hear her cheering all the way down here where I live.

Hopefully @rsoxguy will forgive me for this one, but I couldn't stay awake for the final couple of innings, so I'm just now enjoying the W. The bullpen is definitely a weakness this season, but a win is a win!

Your pitchers gave up 3 runs to some talented Yankees stars. That's to be expected. Your closer( as you know) is great.

Thoss relievers haven’t had a clean inning in 4 months...I’m not even exaggerating. Doesn’t matter what team they’re facing.

The Yankees hit about .230 as a team...not so tough without that 288 root right field

For those who missed it, here is the monster HR by Gary Sanchez in the 7th-inning that flew out of Fenway. (Skip to 1:07 in the video for that HR).

Sanchez blows...that’s 100% on the Red Sox pitching for laying 90 mph pitches across the plate.

He is what he is...a .170 hitter that’s overrated by mike “veal parm” Francesa

That’s a long tale of Red Sox front office ineptitude...starting before they last one a World Series...

A series of mistakes
IF the Yankees win this series....and I have feeling they will, it will be because they are a talented team who won 100 games this season. IF they move on into the next round it is because they got hot when it counted.....not because of any ineptitude by the Red Sox organization.

That is completely incorrect...the Red Sox won 108 against weaklings...but they may be the most deeply flawed team they’ve sent to the playoffs in 15 years.

The Yankees aren’t really the issue.

You’re high on the koolaid but it isn’t correct.

The Yankees won game 2 because David Price is a bum in the playoffs. Red Sox fans have said the bullpen is shady at best. If the Yankees make it to the ALCS and lose, is it because they werent talented ENOUGH? Having a talented team (in the regular season) is irrelevant when it comes to postseason baseball, just look at those Washington Nationals superteams a few years back. Had all the talent in the world and couldnt make it past the NLDS.

First of all, it doesn't matter what I think. I'm not anyone important. Secondly, it seems like you are ignoring the part where I said "if they move on to the next round it is because they got hot when it counted...."

No need to get defensive, and I saw that part. I'm just responding to the claim that if the Yankees make it past Boston, it has nothing to do with what Boston does and it's all based on Yankees talent because of how many games they won.

One fanbase is hyperbole critical of itself and grinds its team to a fault...the other talks about stuff won by dead men and has never been objective at all.

...you figure out which is which
