At first things don't look to grandiose...then you see the scale figure and whammo! That thing is quite tall! And look at all the detail work on that building....those guys at WDI are AMAZING!!!!!!:D

Well, they say pictures are worth more than a thousand words and those pics pretty much sum them up. Great photos. I guess the ri La rumor appears to be coming true.

I wonder what the highest elevation of the track will be. I know the mountain is 198' or something. Because going to 200' would mean they would have to add a light on the top for planes. But how high is the track supposed to be?

The drop on the left on the first 3 pictures is the "big" drop that you see in the concept art coming out the front of the mountain. It will be an 85 foot drop. The highest the track will go is 35 feet above that, at 120 feet. The mountain will be roughly twice as high as the piece of track you see on the right side of the first few pictures, which is ~100 feet up. The highest track supports in these pictures are probably nearing 120 feet, meaning they will be able to finish the entire track in the next few months before starting rockwork. Excitement builds!

I read here a day that the mountain was supposed to be as tall as the top of the yellow crane... if that's true :hammer: :hammer: :dazzle: :p

How ahead of schedule are they? Because it seems that a late 2005 opening seems possible from the pics...

btw nice pics Rob!

from my conversation with Joe Rohde last summer, it seems that the actual ride will be done by then... but with something of this magnitude they want it to be 100%... rather than a 50% Mission Space or Test Track. It will look 100% completed, but WDI will still be there ripping out their hair over every last detail.
