While I can think of individual items in each land that need some detail here or there, Tomorrowland needs the most attention in regards to theme and purpose in my opinion. I just don't know what it is supposed to be anymore. Is it retro 60's space age, is it a Jules Verne, is it an alternate universe with monsters, and/or is it an actual vision of tomorrow?

Tomorrowland and Future World in EPCOT both show how difficult and expensive it can be to devote segments of a park to the future and new technologies and keep them looking fresh, especially given the vast advancements in computers, video games, and cell phones the past 10 - 15 years. When you base a land on a (quasi) historical, romanticized, or fantasy basis, they don't become dated quite as quickly because their core elements, look, and feel don't change. The future, however, is always changing.

Whatever they do to Tomorrowland, I hope they also have at least somewhat of an idea of how they will be addressing Future World down the road. I know each area were designed with completely different objectives and target audiences but I can't help but sometimes wonder if there isn't a little risk redundancy between the two due the similarities in the core thematic elements. I am not necessarily advocating for either to be eradicated. It is just something I think that should be taken into consideration when they consider improving either area, especially given the fact that the world and corporate climate that helped make EPCOT such a rousing success has changed making it much harder to simply replicate the original plan but that is discussion for another thread.

Tomorrowland Laugh Factor should be moved to Pixar Place. I would love a Lilo and Stitch water ride or Hawaiian coaster in DHS instead of what they have Stitch in now .Tomorrowland Speedway should go. It takes up way to much space. Maybe move it to Epcot or retheme it to Cars or Wreck it Ralph and put in DHS. They can fit an e ticket in MILF and Stitch. I hope they would split the Speedway land with TL and FL.

Adventure land needs a new attraction too. Aladdin is just screaming for an E Ticket. Especially with the Soarin technology.

Good call on Aladdin using Soarin' technology. They would have to figure out how to not break theming too much in the loading/unloading area (it works in Soarin' because you're basically just supposed to be in a hangar), but using a similar ride system for a flying carpet/escape from the Cave of Wonders attraction would be really cool.

I completely understand why almost everyone voted for Tomorrowland and I agree that the land needs some serious TLC whenever they find an opportunity to get around to it. I think Stitch and Laugh Floor have both run their course, CoP and Buzz both need updates and the Speedway needs to be either heavily updated or replaced. They also need to add some more landscaping so that it doesn't feel like a concrete wasteland. Space Mountain also could use a good refurb, as it was a lot rougher than usual the last time I rode it.

Despite all of these things, however, I could not bring myself to vote for Tomorrowland based on the fact that we always spend a good amount of time in that land and we regularly do almost all the attractions in that land. Even though I'm not a fan of all of TL's attractions, it still has a large quantity of things to do there and of course, the music and night lighting are great.

I instead chose to vote for Adventureland. Other than Pirates and occasionally Jungle Cruise, there really is nothing in this land that we regularly do and we mainly just view it as a walkway to Frontierland, perhaps stopping at Pirates along the way. It's such a shame, because the theming is so great and the land as a whole has so much potential. Every attraction in this land could use a good update (or in the case of Magic Carpets, a removal). Whenever Disney plans their next big ride for the MK, I want it to be for Adventureland, whether it's an Indy clone or something entirely different. This land could just be so much better than it is currently (though that could really be said for any of the lands).

It's been said ad nauseum, but it truly is a shame that Disney has let themselves get so far behind that it will take many years for them to get to any of these things.

I keep saying Carousel of Progress needs to update just the last scene, which may be more difficult than it sounds. If they change the script, won't every scene need to be rerecorded to match the voices?
I don't know about much of the cast, but Janet Waldo, Debi Derryberry, and Jess Harnell could come back. The others, I don't know.

I have to agree with everyone. Tomorrowland really needs a face lift. I despise Tomorrowland Speedway. Even as a kid I thought that it was loud, obnoxious, and never worth the wait that it can accumulate. I like the retro-future feel, if it wasn't the sad version that it is right now. It needs a nice paint job and some new lighting and landscaping. Also, that noodle station... I don't remember it ever feeling lively and well used. I do love Mosters Inc Laugh Floor. Every time that I go, it cracks me up! I love when people get picked on :p hahaha But SGE is just the worst... That needs to go as well and make room for something better... Disney can do way better than that attraction.

I really don't have a problem with the look of Tomorrowland. It was supposed to look old even when the park opened and it still looks great at night. A lot of the attractions (Buzz Lightyear, the speedway, Stitch, Laugh Floor) should just be replaced and CoP needs an upgrade. Space Mountain is fine the way it is, unless you're just talking about updating the queue or something old fashioned roller coatsers like that don't get built anymore which is what makes Disney special.

I voted Liberty Square simply because there's so much that could be done there that isn't. A Sleepy Hollow themed thrill ride, a Revolutionary War themed dark ride/simulator where you're getting chased by Red Coats (maybe Paul Revere's ride themed) and so forth. Finding the room for it would be tough, though.

I agree with you that the land is fine aesthetically, although it does slip quite a bit in consistency once you get past Rockettower Plaza. However, I don't see your reasoning for why Buzz needs to go and can't be updated. I also don't think you understand what people mean when they want the ride part of Space Mountain updated. We don't want the layout of the track to be changed, but rather replaced with a new version of the same track just like they did at DL way back in 2005. There's no reason WDW can't have a similar refurb like the one that was done at DL nearly 11 years ago. I agree with you on Liberty Square though. The theme now is not that appealing as is, but you seem to have more ideas to make it appealing than the imagineers have had for it in its almost 45 years of existence.

You don't know how bad the track for Space Mountain is. If the track for Space Mountain is in great condition, how do you explain Space Mountain getting trim breaks a couple years ago?

The truth is Space Mountain didn't have Trim break before a couple years ago. That shows there has to be a condition problem with the the track that Disney didn't address during the refurbishment that the Magic Kingdom version had in 2009.

Unfortunately Tomorrowland is becoming Yesterdayland. It could really use some freshening up. Leave SM, TTA, and CoP, but bring the rest of the area up to the theming of what Tomorrowland is supposed to be.

It's more of a personal preference. I've never cared for it and haven't done it in years, it's just a generic shoot-em-up. I guess they could try a huge overhaul to make it more like the ride at HS, but I'd be more interested in just getting a completely new attraction.

Understood, we all have rides we don't really care for personally. Although I'd wait to see what the Shanghai version is like if I were you since it appears to be on a whole 'nother level than what's been done in the past.

I'll take a shooter ride with physical sets over the glorified Wii shovelware game they call a ride at the Studios.

Tomorrowland's fine aesthetically, it just needs half the tenants to be replaced.

Old Fantasyland on the other hand could use a makeover. Bring the fairy tale village aesthetic of California to Florida already.
Exactly, it's a shame that they got away with fixing up only half of the land. If they wanted to spread the money out, then they should've done it in two phases.

If they did indeed add in trim brakes, that's an indication that there's a problem. All I know is that I don't ride Florida's SM anymore - it's just way too rough. But after the recent track replacement, Disneyland's SM rides like butter!
