Yeah, I ahven't tried it since I had MJ, but my best friend and I used to do it together... it isn't bad once you learn how. Then you just have to warm stuff up to have a home made meal, saved us many trips to the drive through or restaurants when I didn't feel liek cooking. I use my crock pot ALL the time too.... I was *supposed* to make spaghetti sauce for baked spaghetti in it today, but Andrew bought spaghetti noodles instead of sauce, so it will have to wait until tomorrow... :(

Your wedding dress was beautiful...I was married at a courthouse in a 20.00 dress from Ross, I wish I had had a big wedding...

I don't think we have the freezer space for even a few weeks of food, let alone a whole month.

Thanks for the compliment! DH and I paid for a big chunk of our wedding ourselves, so I was extra cost aware. It's amazing what you can get on the internet. It makes me sick to see the money that is wasted in the wedding industry. I got my veil on eBay for $10. My bridesmaid, who is now getting married herself, spent close to $200 for her veil. So much waste, IMHO.

As for a big wedding, as DH kept reminding me, the important thing is that we were getting married. Nothing else really mattered.

What do you make in your crockpot? I'm getting tired of all the same things over and over. One can only make the chicken with Cream of Mushroom soup so many times...

Hey Bunny, sorry was away with MJ... waiting for her to drop off so I can organize my purse and write stories. :D

Also had to write a neat note to the Bert's Big Adventures people (sort of a Wish trip for kids to WDW) about something I was able to pull off for them! ( I love making magic!)

I should post pics of our wedding someday....(among the other 937,746 things I need to do.... seriously my to do list is over two pages long (8.5x11 paper....)

I've heard of Bert's, what a neat organization! Making magic sounds like such fun! You'll have to share when you've got the time

That's a long to-do list! At least it's all written down, though. I never get around to actually making a list most of the time. My New Year's Resoloution was to get more organized. It's not going well.

I will type it up for you in just a second...

I am very well organized... I used to be able to do it all without a list, but having MJ, Fibro and the drug OD have sucked my brains out of my head, so now EVERYTHING must be written down....

Ok, it all started with these Tourist Mickey and and Summer Donald pins they were giving out for free for those who paid for parking....those pins were EVERYWHERE and since they gave out so many, for those two pins, they rescinded the rule about only having one pin on the same lanyard, ususally you can't trade a pin if they already have it on their lanyard....

So folks were up in arms about this, especially the pin traders....So a friend on another board (a pin one) got an idea, BBA next trip is in 2007, so she sent me 5 pins to trade for those ducks. When I told the CM's what I was doing some of them donated more than one, so I ended up with ten pins to send *and* I cleaned out our lanyard collection and am sending 6 lanyards to them too... :D

You constantly amaze me with what you're able to do! I don't know how I could do it, and still have time for scrapbooking!

My scrapping is sporadic...but I plan while MJ is awake, draw my ideas, then I just have ot throw it together whehn Andrew is home to tkae care of her... the digital ones are easier to do, no supplies for her to get into

Aaargh!

Stupid, STUPID co-workers. I've just been given another TWO assignments that aren't my responsibility, all because my co-worker is too lazy and unfocused to do it himself...

:brick: :brick: :brick:

I've got to get going.

It's been so nice to talk with you Bonny! You're not often on when I am!

Sorry to hear you haven't heard yet. As far as I know, no fatalities have been reported from long waits.

I'm sure it will be soon!

One day I'll fulfill my dream of becoming a wedding planner, but in the meantime...

Go to salons, or you local David's Bridal. Pick out the style you like, and write the name of the manufacturer down while the dress consultant is busy. (If there are no tags on the dress, this is an illegal practice, and get as far away from this shady store as possible) Then look up the style number online, and order the same dress through one of these sites, for up to 60% off. I'm not kidding. I saved soooooo much money for my wedding by doing as much online as I could.

I got this dress, which is a copy of one of David's Oleg Cassini Dresses. David's dress retails for $1200. The DaVinci dress, which I got, has a MSRP of around $800. I got mine for just under $400. Brand new, tags on.

Try:

Netbride.com
or
bridesave.com

Bunny you are a smart shopper!
David's is the first place we're going to try.
I can't believe you got that dress! It's gorgeous! We were just looking at Oleg Cassini dresses on David's site and were joking that, because Cassini just passed away, maybe they'll have a big sale in his honor. Fat chance!
But we will shop carefully. Have to. It's the only way we can afford to do this!
I've been looking at the internet sites you mentioned regularly.
I intend to use the internet extensively throughout this ordeal.
Thanks so much for your help, Bunny! You're a gem!

Don't forget about eBay too! I got my veil for $10 (gorgeous, with a gold trim to match the dress) and my headpiece for $20. I also got bridal party gifts on eBay too - customized tote bags that I filled with fun stuff, for $5 each. I had so much fun bargain hunting.

Do share more details as soon as you know them!

Oh, and is she on theknot.com? It's the BEST resource for local wedding vendors.

Getting ready for a busy weekend.

Off to the GF's tomorrow evening. Saturday evening we are visiting a couple of her friends then I have to head back home late Saturday because I have a BBC radio gig all day Sunday.

We are recording some short radio plays at the Bristol Old Vic. Rehearsing all day (as well as three of us having to learn some sea shanties) then recording in the evening before a live audience.
