Sounds like a great day! We haven't toured the city since the kids were young. I remember that DS actually got to put his finger in the crack of the Liberty Bell. I know it's different now....
Must have been neat having George for a tour guide!

Yes, George knows his history.
We both remembered the days when you could touch the Liberty Bell. Now the security to get in just to see it is unbelievable. Independence Hall is the same way. You have to go through checkpoints, empty your pockets, take off watches, belts and jackets and put everything through a scanner. It's easier getting through the airport! So sad! But that's the way of the world now.

Such a pity - kind of makes you wonder what our founding fathers would think of the state of the world now....

Exactly what we said. They were visionaries, but I'm sure they never saw this coming!
I told George that I thought they were unbelievably brave. They had ideals and they stood by them and sent a new world into motion. People aren't brave like that anymore. I know people still do brave things, but these men had dreams for us! They were envisioning a future and making it happen! That's brave!

I hope so - he's really wearing thin. That fiasco last night was just awful! At least the week before he was funny!

I guess he really had no choice last night but to lay it on thick. The Pasa Doble is really out of his league! They tried to make it funny but it was just too overdone and kinda painful to watch. He should go. I think he's more than ready! I must say I did enjoy him, though. I didn't expect to!

Same here - I think he surprised everyone. ...him and Emmitt!

Jerry is very down to earth and knows how to laugh at himself. He's so easy going and nice! I didn't expect any of that!
And Emmitt (or however you spell that name!) is great! I love watching him dance. He makes it look effortless!

Too long of a ride for me. :lookaroun

My longest car ride is 18 hours.:lookaroun I swear bad things seem to happen all in a row. Today was alright for the most part, until the end. We were doing the last set when everything seemed to go wrong. I was with Pooh. The first thing happened when a guest kept telling her daughter to go and "kiss Pooh". Now the thing is, they were not in line. And when she lifted her up and was getting in the way of another guest's picture, I told her she would have to get in line. So when she and her daughter walked away, she cursed at me! I think the mom who was next in line was more shocked then I was (sadly enough). And the next thing was that we had closed the line and another attendant was in the back. Well, a guest "claimed" that he had been in line while his family was in Tigger's line, even though neither one of us had seen him in line. But he (and they) made such a fuss that we let them see him and hurried Pooh off. Oy vey.:(
