Slightly annoyed.

Got my progress report in the mail today.

My lowest grade is fricking Foods.

Spanish - 95
Algebra - 91
Phys Ed - Pass
Science - 97
History - 96
Foods - 90

If she gave me a zero for today and yesterday (cinnabun DIASTER), I won't be on High Honor Roll because of an 89 or less!

Sorry to hear that. I had a teacher like that that nearly failed me because I disagreed with her. All semester I had high 90's, then she asked a question about a topic she was passionate about, I viewed my opinions with facts to back it up. She didn't like what I had to say and after that she began failing me. I filled a complaint against her, the dean just didn't want anything to do with it. He actually quit soon after, but it took me over a year before I had a review of my homework and grades reflective of my work.
Not to discourage you, but remember being on the honors roll is not going to make a difference 20 years down the road. Colleges are going to look at everything when they assess you, not just grades.

DH and I have been trying out different types with dinner lately and I was just curious if you have a favorite? We're new to the world of wine... any favorites or classics you recomend?

I wish I did, I usually get something that I like when I taste test at different wineries.

Is Piesporter very rare? I found this great little place down the road - they have alot of unique bottles. But I haven't invested in any of the really high quality one's yet... I wanted to get an idea of what I really like first.

No, it's not very rare. Not every store carries it, but most do. I've found it at wine stores and supermarkets. Most Rieslings will be pretty light. Otherwise Pinot Grigio's are good too.

I'm not all that worried about missing the High Honor Roll, but it would be a true kicker if it was Foods that kept me off. :brick: :brick:

OT: Grandpa and I went down and walked around Ground Zero last night. I used to walk through there twice a day on my commute (the train station is in the center of the "crater")...I'm sure some commuters are able to walk through there and eventually not think about it, but for me every day when I would walk through, I would remember. I always noticed a mural on the wall, but never stopped to look at it. Last night we stopped to look, and it's a mural of about 20-30 drawings, done by children of victims. It was pretty powerful and I couldn't believe I'd never taken the time to look. I took a couple of pics and thought I'd share.

9/11 really hits close to home here. My family lost a family friend (one of my dad's best friends actually) in one of the towers.

Hello? So sorry for not being here, but finals are getting started up plus my Directing 1 class had our scene presentations this week. Plus I am going to Six Flags Great America with my Disney Rep team tomorrow (long story behind that.) But now that I have a breather, I thought I would pop in and say hello to everyone.

Joanna, I am amazed that you had to play phone tag about your schedule. How did you get into that situation? All I had to do was call the Labor Office and have them removed my request for seasonal work.

Long story short, I originally gave availability to work seasonally (before I applied for the Summer program). However, when I called to cancel the availability, they canceled it from May 26th on. And so I was scheduled attendant hours next week- 2 days of which I won't even be in FL. But it's all taken care of now.
