Hi for a few minutes. My co-worker and I took our boss to lunch today to celebrate her birthday. Yeah. I had a great chicken fried steak. Yummy.

Afternoon Dot!

No feta or Dt. Dr. Pepper...? I don't know what I'd do...

Hey Bunny - I've been meaning to ask you - I see that you're a copywriter - what type of writing do you do?

It's soooo hard to give up those things... Some I could go without for a long time... but others are just so much a part of my regular diet that I miss them terribly - Smoked salmon on bagles with cream cheese for one... but the thing I think I miss the most is deli meat. No ham sandwiches, no turkey sandwiches... sigh.

Anyways, I'm a writer/producer at an advertising agency. We deal with mostly furniture and mattress stores, but I am im charge of a large national campaign for a mattress company that starts with the letter "S"...:lookaroun

Yay for lunches at work! but I'll pass on the country-fried steak... I never could palate that one... My mouth gets all confused, "Am I eating chicken, or steak?"

hee hee... That's great! I'm in PR/Marketing so I do quite a bit of writing myself. I used to work for a famous financial guy and did a lot of ghost-writing for him. Now I do marketing/PR for a hospital. The writing is different - but there's more of it!

I've been thinking about getting into freelance writing - have you ever thought of it?

Freelancing is a possibility in the future.. Right now I can't wait to get out of here and be a full-time mommy, though. Maybe once the kids are in school, I might look to something like that..

Hospital work must be fun though... :)

We gave her a choise of what kind of food and that is what she chose. I didn't disagree with it because I love chicken fried steaks.:slurp: Of course that is why I weigh sooo much.

I think I know where Dan's going! But not entirely sure.

Where do you think? I think Cedar Point.

Nope.
Someplace he's never been, he said.

Busch Gardens?
Colonial Williamsburg?

Has Dan been to Universal???

Hmmmm. . .
But would he go there and not go to WDW?

I think he's going to Universal. Did you read his comments in my TR?

Oh yeah.
I just read it.
That's what it sounds like to me.

Our guess is Universal Studios.

Teamwork, people. Teamwork was key. :p

FINALLY, you figured it out.

Unfortunate as the circumstances are, we'll only be visiting Universal Orlando, and NOT Disney parks. This will be the first time out of 13 trips to Florida that I won't have gone to WDW. :(

HOWEVER...

Saturday the 10th is when we leave. We'll be going to Tampa (arrive 11th) and staying at the same hotel as last August, the one right next to Busch Gardens. The sole reason we're doing this, is for my sister. She's about 75% sure she'll be attending Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, and we'll be taking a tour on Monday.

Monday afternoon, we'll be travelling up I-4 to Orlando. Here's the good part: We've got some time to kill, and our Universal dates don't start 'till the next day... so, why don't we visit Downtown Disney?

Added to that, we'll be staying at the Grosvenor Resort right next to the Marketplace for Monday night. :D

The NEXT night (and the next), we'll be staying at the Royal Pacific Resort, which looks insane in terms of size, luxury and price. ($233/night) We barely inched in to this deal, as all other resorts were booked full. I'm certainly worried, however, about the crowds -- 3 or 4 people in my first class alone are visiting during the week. Multiply that by the entire country, and you've got a couple of crowded parks. But, I've got my Universal Express pass, camera, and a plethora of knowledge up my sleeve, so it's all good.

...Good lord, I feel like I just wrote my TR prelude. Only I'm a lot more excited, because I've yet to take the pictures. :lookaroun

I think you may be surprised - Universal was really not busy last week at all, and President's week is traditionally a busy week in central FL since a lot of the Northeast schools have it off. Did you get the internet deal for Universal?
