yes...it has to be taken by you.
I should have taken more photos on our trip. Half of them were taken by my parents and have me and DH in them. I'll know better for next time to take some regular ones myself!

How do you decide what the photo topic is each month? How do you not duplicate?

If I haven't said it before, I appreaciate all you put into the contests!

Yeah...it's just to make sure that people aren't submitting photos that are found on the web...that kind of thing.

And on how do I decide on the topic is...well, have you seen the list that's posted at the top of that forum. It's got a list of every contest for the entire year. So that way if people go say in March, they can take pictures that will work for the rest of the year...

Some of the topics were already chosen...Brad (Speck76) who used to run the contests before I took them over...had most of the topics that are found in the list. I've also asked for suggestions periodically throughout the year...visited other Disney sites to see what different contests they have, and came up with a few of my own (Ex...the Pixar contest we had a few weeks back).

Trust me...I have lots of great ideas so as not to duplicate. That's why I also plan it out a year in advance...so I make sure not to duplicate a single one.

And when I put the calendar together...thinks like the Flower and Tree contest go in the spring...usually in the middle of the Flower and Garden Festival...the Villians contest occurs in October, near Halloween, the Parades contest and fireworks contests usually appear in July around the 4th...etc. The rest of the contests, I just put in the schedule where I think they will fit.

And I've gone on enough about this... But thank you. I find it a lot of fun (when people aren't bickering...which thankfully, hasn't happened this year...I think I was able to stop that near the end of the year last year.)

You look wise in this picture Luke... like you're contemplating the universe with a mouth full of ice cream. :lookaroun :D

The kiddo and I went to see my grandfather today, who got released from the hospital yesterday. Oh, and we got new tires for the car... can't be driving the kiddo around in a car with bald tires!

awwwww... ((hugs)) for grandfather...

And it's always nice having new tires... sure makes the car feel smoother for a few weeks! :sohappy:

How are you feelin today bun?

My parents had a realtor check out their house last night! Looks like my parents won't have to do as much as they thought they would before putting it on the market. Plus the appraisal the realtor gave was quite a bit more than my parents were thinking. :sohappy: I can't wait until they move down here!

That's great Kat! They do have a gorgeous house - from the picture you showed us it seems to me like it has enough curb appeal to sell quickly as well! :sohappy:

EDIT: hey Kat... i saw you mention your DH's new job being announced in church... Just curious, what's his new job?

Really...? Why? Did he speak, or just sing? I didn't even realize he was a Christian. (Phil and Melinda, yes - but not Chris)

I guess so.
Working doesn't always pay off.
I don't mind though... I really want to see it, and she watches the show with me EVERY week, so it'll be fun.
She treated last year, so I can splurge for my momma.

Chris Sligh. ;)
I liked him.
That's pretty cool!
Antonella Barba made an appearance at the Communion Breakfast at my chruch a few weeks ago.
I wasn't there.
Apparently, her grandparents go to my church.
