Hi guys!

Just wanted to stop in for a quick hello before I go off to work!

So I have good news and not so good news here....the good news is that my first nephew was born yesterday!!!:sohappy: Both him and mommy are doing very well (except that her MIL is driving her crazy!) The not so good news is that there will be no babies here :( We were both sad last night, but it will happen when it's supposed to happen. :)

Hope the crew in WDW is having fun!

Hugs for you.

((HUGS)) Chris - it's hard to be patient sometimes, but hang in there. Just enjoy your new nephew and spoil him rotten!

Jess! I'm so sorry this vacation isn't what you hoped - I really hope everyone is better soon.
I know about watching your kids hurt. Joel is really talented that way. When he was three, he tripped and conked his forehead on the edge of our fireplace hearth - stitches. My sister had to experience that one. Last summer he was running back and forth across the family room (one of his stimming things) and his foot hit the corner of the wall - just badly bruised, but he wore a cast just to be sure. We've also had to have tons of blood work on him, which means practically laying on him and holding his arm out so the nurses can do their work. He always recovers quicker than I do!

:o *hugs* for you and little man. I can't even imagine girly.

Awww Hey sweetie! Congrats to your sis! And... *hugs* for you.

No, she's only 21:lol:
Seriously though, she's so modest now, there is hope for your littele girls!

Well that's a relief! ;)

Oh dear. That's good stuff Rick... put that in her baby book. ;)

Jess I hope things get better for your vacation down there. Take care of yourself. I hope things are going good with you and Jay and of course Lizzy.

Things are going ok with everyone. I really haven't seen Jay or Lizzy much at all in the last 3 days. When they're here I'm usually sleeping... We still have 3 days left though - Hopefully i can kick this thing and get out there and have some fun still. :)

I cried when I had to take the boys to get stitches. My oldest had to have stitches one yr when we went to WDW. We weren't in the parks yet. But he couldn't go on any rides for at least 24 hrs since the stitches were on his head. So we wnt to NASA the next day instead.

Awwww... What is it about vacations that seem to bring out the "wild" in kids? Lizzy climbs on everything at home - but she's always been very careful about getting down. When she decided to take a flying leep off her stroller, I was in shock!

Hey, that's not too bad..... Sounds like somebody was maybe hoping for another outcome to the little test though..

Yeah I was. I was so convinved that it was going to be positive. Last night I told DH that I felt silly being sad about it because it's not like we were planning on it. He told me that the night before he was planning out what he would need to do and thought about what it would be like to show the baby to my mom for the first time. Our day will come sometime!

I have been there and my wife was always the same way.... " Oh NO, I think I might be pregnant" then shes not and she and I were sad about it. It'll happen!

DD never had major injuries, but DS is on a first name basis with the staff at the emergency room. He's had stitches, casts, allergic reactions, ace bandages, you name it.

Somehow I think Lizzy's leaning towards your DS's side. It's going to be a loooong road ahead.

Along with those joyous moments comes a few of these though: Imagine months of getting little to no sleep... Imagine being a zombie for much of those first few months and barely even remembering them b/c you have so little sleep.... Imagine having to wake yourself up (that is if you ever made it to sleep) at 4am to give this squirmy little stinky thing a bath b/c they just had a blowout and it's in their hair... not to mention their jammies, blankets, sheets and anything else they came in contact with... Imagine not fitting into your clothes for several months, AFTER you have the baby and no longer have an excuse... Imagine your hips never being the same again, sitting down and standing up makes you feel like you need a walker after having a baby... Imagine all the times you'll have to hold your child down while they get shots, or reset...

Along with all the good things - much of parenting can stink, big time. Maybe this will help you get through until next month, knowing you can still get a good nights sleep, sleep in on a Saturday if you want, get away with just the two of you... and basically have your own life, if only for another month. ;)

My kids have both DH's and my 'lack of coordination' genes! Which is why DD takes dance. She needs outside intervention, cuz she sure don't get it from her momma!

 Jenny you make me laugh so hard.
