YAY! Soooo can you get your permit at 15 in Jersey? Or is that just a stupid southern thing?
Just a stupid southern thing.
The laws here are quite possibly changing for anyone born 1992 or after. (Damn two months and twenty nine days. :fork:)
IF the law is passed, the permit age would be 17, and license at 18. Currently, permit is 16 and license is at 17. (I THINK. Not postive.)

Well, all, I gotta go.
See you later.

Wow! Where I grew up (Nebraska), you got your permit at 15, license at 16. Unless you lived in the country, and then you could get a school permit at 14 which allowed you to drive by yourself between your house and school during certain hours.

That rumor has been going around for a while.
Nothing's happened, yet.
Besides, it used to be those after 1990, then 1991...
Alright you. Luke has a reason for the huh... you on the other hand know exactly what you've done/been doing. Soooo don't give me those huh's.
What are you talking about?

See. I don't understand that. Teenage drivers are't as bad as everyone thinks they are. Most of the kids I know have never gotten in wrecks, and the ones that have it wansn't even their fault

Bye Freddy!

and to you... sorry. *hands you a cold cheerwine* :lookaroun Better?

Maybe if it were real.

  • Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers.
  • 16 year-olds have higher crash rates than drivers of any other age.
  • 16-year-olds are three times more likely to die in a motor vehicle crash than the average of all drivers.
  • 3,467 drivers age 15-20 died in car crashes in 2005.
  • Drivers age 15-20 accounted for 12.6 percent of all the drivers involved in fatal crashes and 16 percent of all the drivers involved in police-reported crashes in 2005.
  • Fatal crashes involving 15- to 20-year olds in 2005 were down 6.5 percent from 7,979 in 1995, to the lowest level in ten years.
  • The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates the economic impact of auto accidents involving 15-20 year old drivers is over $40 billion.
  • According to a 2005 survey of 1,000 people ages 15 and 17, conducted by the Allstate Foundation
    • More than half (56 percent) of young drivers use cell phones while driving,
    • 69 percent said that they speed to keep up with traffic
    • 64 percent said they speed to go through a yellow light.
    • 47 percent said that passengers sometimes distract them.
    • Nearly half said they believed that most crashes involving teens result from drunk driving.
  • 23 percent of teen drivers killed in 2005 were intoxicated, according
    to NHTSA.
  • Statistics show that 16 and 17-year-old driver death rates increase with each additional passenger (IIHS).
  • Graduated drivers license programs appear to be making a difference. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reports that the overall number of 16-year-old drivers fell from 1,084 in 1993 to 938 in 2003 despite an 18% increase in the 16-year-old population.
