Pre-Trip Mixtape - A July 2022 Trip

I'm happy and excited to report that the Fractal family, at least parts of it will be going back to Walt Disney World this July!

Like our 2017 trip, this one will be a joint family trip with my sister Marina and yes, Yia-Yia will be joining us and she is counting the days she can ride Flight of Passage again. We are doing it again!

Marina will be with her entire family this time but as for me there will be some subtractions and an addition. My daughter Alex is doing a traveling nurse stint in New Mexico and unfortunately her plans to join us with her girlfriend Emily just didn't work out.
Val has decided to travel to New Mexico instead of Disney to visit Alex so Val will not be with us. My crew will consist of myself, Toni, and Sterg.

Toni and Yia-Yia

Val is absolutely devastated that she is missing this trip...not really but deep, deep down I think there is a small part of her that is bummed.

We'll certainly miss her!

I will also miss Alex and Emily who we've gotten to know more. Emily spent a couple days in Disney last year and was immediately hooked. She's very bummed not to be coming along but there's always a next time!

Here they are front row.

We are planning to Arrive July 15th and depart the 20th. There is a lot of planning yet to do!

Back with more!

I have been given a list by everyone who has ever been there. Crab fries are always mentioned, although I must admit, that does not sound appealing.

Chickie's and Pete's made them a thing and they are delicious. Basically fries doused in an Old-Bay type seasoning and served with their own cheesy sauce.
There's a Chickie's and Pete's inside Citizen Bank Park but expect to wait in line for awhile and no Lightning Lane. 🤪

There's also a C&P restaurant near the ball park if you want a meal before the game. Other spots I'd recommend inside the Park are Harry the K's (after long time Phillies and NFL Films announcer Harry Kalas)

Bull's BBQ if you are in the mood for BBQ with Greg "the Bull" Luzinski himself usually meeting and greeting there. If you want a authentic Philly cheesteak you have Campo's or Tony Lukes - both very good. Here's a link to all the concessions.

I agree with all of this!

Xfinity Live across the street is also a great place to go before/after the game for some pretty good food and slightly cheaper beers.

Several Chickie and Pete's also on the Wildwood boardwalk ! But you then run into the french fry wars.......Chickie & Petes vs. Curley Fries. My wife will take Curley's every day while I'm a C & P guy.

I grew up in Wildwood working for my parents restaurant over the Summer. That boardwalk was my stomping grounds during the late 70's and 80's. :)

Tough choice between the two.!

I am a big fan of Mack's pizza - a slice with some Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer on a nice Summer day is hard to beat.
