June 3rd hehe July 4th opening isn't out of the realm of possibilities, now hehe...even late June. Very good news, especially for guests going after July 4th Guess we'll all get to ride!

When we say cast previews...is that just park cast, or all Disney castmembers?

That might be pushing it--they usually close rides for about a week after Cast Previews to make final changes before beginning soft openings...thinking more toward the last week of June.

I have the letter of invitation in front of me (thank god I get my paycheck at Epcot!!) and I read it


"The Preview is for Epcot Cast Members only and does not include family members of guests"

sorry MK, DAK, MGM, and Resort CM's...

I'm sure your previews will be in a few weeks..

so I'm thinking one night of WDI previews, a week of Epcot CM previews, a week and a half to two weeks of all WDW Resort CM previews, then soft openings in the usual sense (limited in nature, unnannounced). I still say guests will be riding by July 4th...again, as Eisner demanded months ago, now.

I have a question. What with M:S ready to open within a month, shouldn't advertising for the attraction begin soon? Has anyone even spotted a billboard for the attraction yet?

I wouldn't expect advertising to begin until mid to late July--remember that all soft openings before August 15th are unnannounced.

Cast Previews are for all Disney Cast Members

unless they're specifically announced for a specific group of CM's. ex- Mission: Space Cast Previews are for Epcot CM's
MGM Parade Cast Previews were for MGM CM's only
MK Day Parade Cast Previews were for all WDW CM's
DCA Cast Previews were for all Disney CM's

The party this evening was for the WDI CM preview (family members were permitted too). There were dogs, burgers, drinks, and ice cream, and everyone who wanted could ride M: S a few times.

I just got home from the preview. :wave:

The ride experience was already fairly well described in USA Today recently so all I'll say is that, imo, it's awesome. My only wish is that the liftoff phase of the ride would last for at least 15 minutes.
