when you're on Mission Space ,don't close your eyes and don't look at your feet - look straight ahead .Follow those 2 rules and I guarantee that you won't throw up!

Just keep your head back and look straight ahead and everything will be fine!!:)

Not necessarily...

I have never felt sick after any kind of thrill ride (I even did the bungee jumping-type thing at Darien Lake, a local theme park). Motion simulators, spinning rides...I love them all and have no problems.

Still, just to be safe, before my first ride on M:S, I took dramamine and waited to ride until before dinner so my stomach was empty.

I kept my head back, didn't close my eyes...I did everything instructed.

And afterward, I barely stumbled into Mouse Gear and sat on the bench near the dressing rooms for an hour. I didn't throw up or anything, but I felt like I was going to, and I had to sit there and keep my cousin's fan on my face for an hour until I felt well enough to go into World Showcase.

When they added the green side I rode that and enjoyed it.

My point is that I am by all accounts a thrill ride junkie, I was more than a little careful with taking dramamine ahead of time and doing exactly like the directions said, yet I still had ill effects. If you're afraid it could ruin your day if you had the same result as me, I would go for the green side. Then, if you handle that very well and feel up to it, maybe try the orange side another day.

Good luck and have fun

This is the worst thing you can do and they advise against it. Whatever you do do NOT close your eyes during the attraction, especially if you are riding the orange (original) version as this will only make the spinning/g-forces more apparent to you. Keep your eyes open and focused on the screen in front of you and do exactly what they tell you. You will be given jobs to do during the ride, i.e. buttons to push. You are assigned roles (captain, engineer etc) and you are each assigned tasks to do during the ride (deploy heat shields etc). Pay attention to what you have to do and keep your eyes on the screen ahead of you. Do NOT turn your head sideways and do NOT, do NOT CLOSE YOUR EYES!

Jawohl, mein kommandant. :lookaroun

(I dunno, it just sounded like an aircraft carrier instructor. "You must carry out your assigned task or you will DIE!" )
