Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2017

As much of a splurge as one day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or one night at Wilderness Lodge?

For us, yes. We typically get 6-8 day park tickets. So no “one day” costs $400. And we will most likely never be able to splurge for a deluxe resort. So yes, all these things would be once in a lifetime for us. Right up there with dessert parties and the like. Again, I fully understand we are in the minority. A girl can dream.

The first party overlaps with Wine and Dine race weekend....so it should sell out because of the influx of celebrating runners and families.

That and next to Veterans Day weekend. With Veterans Day (11/11) falling on Saturday, it will be observed on Friday, 11/10, meaning people already have that day off. With the first party on Thursday, 11/9, it's easy to see how it could sell out first even without the Wine and Dine race weekend. The addition of the race made it even more likely.

So 11/10's MVMCP could sell out as well?

I would expect 11/9, 11/10 and 11/12 parties to have substantial attendance, followed by a steep drop off.

11/14 is probably going to be as dead of a party as you'll see all season.

That's why we go in early December - like the first week. It's the lull after Thanksgiving and the schools are back in session.

I think it's more of this...11/10 would be a floating holiday for me and election day 11/7 too, so there's probably a bunch of people who decided to take the week for a Disney vacation...Wine and Dine events would have happened already.

My family wants to attend this but I have some questions about the party. As much as the ticket cost how does Disney get all the regular guest out so the people can see the party without extra guest at it? I just hate to spend all the money on the party and it be packed if people somehow can stay in there some how.

Yes, during the parties it is only party attendees. Day guests are not allowed.

You can get into the park for the party at 4PM, and you will be given a wrist band. At 7PM, they will start checking guests for wrist bands and everyone who doesn't have one is asked to leave the park.

that clears it up, looks like we will save a park ticket that day and just go there at 4 then. Can we do fast passes for during the party just like a normal ticket if we use that as our park visit for the day?

No. Maybe you can get FP from 4-6, but since they use the FP tapstiles to make sure you belong in the park, you can't schedule FPs from 6 PM on. With the reduced crowd, rides aren't much of a problem... except for Peter Pan and 7DMT... they'll always be packed... unless you skip the fireworks for them, which you shouldn't because they're very good.

How many tickets are available to sell for each party before it's considered sold out? I also wonder if certain rides are closed like during emh?

Do we know if that's still the case this year? The after 4pm admission has always been a "Surprise and Delight" and isn't advertised on the ticket website. Now MK is closing to guest at 6pm with the party still starting at 7pm. Are we still expecting them to let guest in early with only a party ticket? Also, do we know if anything will be open from 6-7p while the normal day guests exit?
