Mickey's Verry Merry Christmas Parade (with Pics)

Last night was the CM preview for Mickey's Verry Merry Christmas Parade. I tried to take pictures, but most of them were bolted to the walls...... Anyways, the pictures I took didn't turn out too well, but here's some of them. The parade itself has remained almost completely unchanged. The changes a couple of us noticed were the reordering of the princess horse and buggys and the replacement of the Disney Bear with a green army man. Everything else was almost unchanged. Oh, and for the "I hate stich" people, he's not in the parade this year (last year, he was on the Santa float at the end). And because I'm sure it'll be brought up, the parade in the park is slightly different than the parade you see on TV. The floats and such are the same, but for instance--the Kitchen baking float has Goofy in the park, but on TV last year had Chip and Dale.

Like I said, not that great. I've never had good luck shooting night parades--oh well.

dude, I think you where watching from right behind me.

creepy :p

I was right on the curb. --there were a bunch of Tommorrowland people across the street on the curb though. We were joking it was like Westside Story-- Ad/Lib vs. Tommorrowland. That'd actually be a tough one to play out...

Which characters are dancing at the front of the parade this year?

Last year, it was Pluto, Chip, Dale, Pinocchio, Geppetto, Alice, Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, Peter Pan, Wendy, Mary Poppins, Bert, 2 Penguins, Robin Hood and Little John.

I was on the same side as you were, but down near Casey's with the rest of the fantasyland crew. Last night, for me, was the first time watching the parade, and it was pretty great. The best part was as santa passed us by he called out my friend's name.

Nice Pics... It must be nice to be able to do the parade first for fellow cast members!!!

It's my first time, so seeing it at night will be pretty cool!!

Are you using just a basic point and shoot? If so, i've found that the townsquare area, particularly from the trainstation (when its not under tarps) has more light for taking pictures than other areas.

Otherwise, thanks for the pics :)

Yeah I didn't sit with my fellow T-land people this time. But I was on the curb and leaning on the trash can to my left.

The parade runs the spectro route.....

Maglight, we'll get some nightime photos at some point.... Looks like the ambient light of Main Street just threw off the exposure. Night parades are pretty hard to photograph and get serious vibrant photos without setting up strobes....

Maglite, the pics turned out fine. I still haven't gotten down the art of nighttime shots (as my last update proves), but nonetheless, pictures are pictures. Thanks for sharing those with us!

Loved the pics, thanks very much, it's good to know it's not changed too much. I think they should keep it the same for a couple years and then change it.
