Hi, my parents and I are planning a trip near the end of September and were wondering how much MNSSHP is? Also, is it okay for the adults to trick or treat, we want to take my niece and nephew, but in the off chance that they can't make it, we wanted to know if we could still do it? Do we have to wear costumes, or is it optional and do we have to bring our own bags?

Thanks for all your help!

Ah, the annual "should I go to MNSSHP?" thread.

The answer to the above is yes.

They give you bags

Adults can get candy and wear costumes but it is of course optional with restrictions (can't cover your face)

For the price check allearsnet.com. When the dates are announced and go on sale you can then see about discounts. You can also see the site for more photos and info on the party.

Last year tickets ranged from about $49 to $60 depending on if you were a DVC/AP member or if you went on a premium night. You don't have to dress up but alot of people do, even some of us w/o little ones. Trick or treating is definetly for everyone and WDW will supply you with bags. It's really a great time, we went to one in early Oct. last year and it was great, no wait for any rides, extremely light crowds, awesome atmosphere, and the list goes on.

I went back in 2003 and it was $50 per person. It was well worth it to see my 58 year old mother get excited about trick or treating! We had some of our best laughs on that trip. Plus that was the ONLY time I've ever seen Scrooge McDuck signing autographs and taking pictures. They get all the villains in front of the castle, it's really cute. I hope you get to go!

How fast do the tickets sell out for MNSSHP? I am going in October with the whole family and my sister and I were thinking about it.

I think it depends on the date. I really think that actual Halloween night is going to sell out pretty quick since this year it is on a Saturday. We're planning on going for Halloween after our cruise.

That is very interesting. I had heard the actual Halloween night was empty because most people kept their kids home to Trick or Treat in their neighborhoods, etc.

Anyone CM's or anyone who's been on Halloween want to chime in?

I'd love to go on Halloween night....

I've always seen it posted as sold out for Halloween night. I've never been on that night but we went in 2004 and loved it. Can't wait to go back this year.

Tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on sale NOW!

Premium Dates:
September 19, 26
October 10, 16, 23, 1 24, 26, 30, 31
$55.95 + tax = $59.59/adult

I remember the last three or four years selling out at Halloween with some dates the weekend before also selling out.

Unfortunately, trick or treating in the neighborhood no longer has the fun and innocence it once had...:(

We went last year for the first time. It was expensive, but we feel worth it. The only complaint we had is that we wish we had another party night while we were there to get everything done. We're character lovers and the lines for all the characters were huge. We basically only had time for a handful of characters, the parade, fireworks, and villains mix and mingle. Then, it was almost midnight. We did manage to ride a few rides before we left that were basically empty.

We've been (young at heart, with no children) - and trick or treated - and worn hats - and loved it. There are lots of rides open, but no queues we got straight onto Pirates, Mansion, Thunder Mountain etc great fun!

We went to two last year on our holiday th 21st and the 31st, even though it said that the 31st was sold out, MK was comparatively empty to early that day. We've still got some sweets from the party now, you get loads. Its definately worth it even without kids.

Boy I tell you what, the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is alot of fun. We went the night before we left for a cruise back in early October 2008 and we had so much fun but were very tired the next day. Thank God the boat didnt leave dock until 5p.m.!!
