From the Disneyland forum, looks like Oogie Boogie Bash is getting new characters / villains again this year:
I seriously loved the teaser Disneyland's Twitter posted a few months back.

While MNSSHP is decent, Oogie Boogie Bash blows this event out of the water in terms of show offerings (Villains Grove being the event's highlight) and having more variety in Villains and Characters. MNSSHP's character lineup has remained mostly the same for years now and need more entertainment or something.

So it seems whatever the cap on tickets is isn't so bad this year? I went a few years ago and it was just way too crowded. Going to be there on 9/18 and hoping for a much less crowded vibe

Let us both hope that is the case.

2019 was the last full blown HalloParty season I attended and it was crazy packed.
I have attended over several seasons since it began, and 2019 was certainly the fullest attendance of them all.
And I went on one of the 'quieter weeknights'..not a Opening Night, press event, or Friday / Saturday.
It was freaking nutballs crowded and not a sell out, which led to discussion at the time about the cap on attendance being loosened a bit.

Hopefully that has been reined in this time around, exspecially with all the recent talk over the last couple of years from Disney about supposedly wanting to 'thin the crowds' to make for a better Guest expereince.
We shall see....
Soon.

I don't think it is at 2019 levels, but it isn't far off.

I've watched videos on sold out nights this year from a variety of sources and every one of them have shown very manageable crowd levels. Of course the parades and fireworks are packed but that's always the case. However, just simply walking down the street and getting onto rides has been a 10 to 15 minute or less wait. Some have even been walk-ons. The crowds look very nice and low this year.

I went to the second party and it felt jammed. Not sure if they squeezed in a few extras after so many things were cancelled delayed on opening night or if the numbers were just that high, but everything had a long line. I assume the number of tickets sold was just big to begin with.

Maybe everyone's idea of "packed" is subjective. This is from a sold out party this year (8/14 - the second party) and it looks very light. The entire video shows light crowds.

Friend went this year, they go every year for Halloween. He said it felt like half the normal crowd even though it was sold out.

Restaurant Max capacity: 250 and it's always easy to get in.
Restaurant reduces capacity to: 100, now they're full every night.

Success?

That has to be a new record.
FOUR days sell out in one day, today.

Methinks this is a big hit.

So....
Are Guests buying up all of these tickets because they enjoyed past HalloParties......or because they don't have to deal with 'Genie +' nonsense?

Inquiring minds want to know.
