It will be sad to lose the photography displays at Exposition Hall.
I always liked that detail.

I can definitely see your side, but I'd rather have a nice new E-ticket and some nice restaurants than a meet-and-greet.My point was/is that the Toontown concept with the Fab 5 and the Toontown Tent was much more enjoyable for all families and not geared specifically to the little girl demographic. We'll have to wait and see about the Dumbo portion of the expansion if indeed the Barnstormer is rethemed to a Casey Jr type coaster.
I think it would be interesting if they kept the idea of it being Mick's 2nd home around (with his real house being in Disneyland's Toontown) and built him an apartment on Main Street where you could meet him.
An expanded Fantasyland certainly would be welcomed, but not at the expense of the entire Toontown.
I believe many look forward to seeing Mickey at his house. Mickey on Main St. just seems somewhat out of place.
Showing cartoons on Main Street, what a silly idea.
Seriously, bringing Mickey to Town Square is almost like having him come home. IIRC, back in the day, the only place to meet Mickey in the MK was in a controlled M&G in the nook between Sun Bank and City Hall.
I don't know, to me seeing Mickey should be a destination. To me, he doesn't belong in the front of the park. It seems anti-climatic.
I'd bet any M&G for Mickey on Main Street would be temporary.
As for TTF being closed as soon as January, looking at the plans and knowing WDI doesn't want to close more than they need to at any one time, it seems completely unnecessary. I would imagine TTF will be the very last area to close and will probably be open until 2012 when the princess areas open. They would only need to close it for Pixie Hollow – which doesn't open until 2013 for a reason (so that TTF can remain open as long as possible).
His writing leaves a lot to be desired sometimes.
Let me be a little more blunt- his writing completely stinks. I hate the way he panders to people with his stupid questions in his articles...it's not good writing.
Let me also chime in regarding moving Mickey. As a Mickey fan, I hate to see the houses go. I have actually enjoyed going back and seeing Mickey and Minnie's houses.
BUT- I am not completely freaked out about it. I am ecstatic about the expansion, and I am willing to give a little as needed to see the concept art become reality.
Mickey is the most biggest character star in Disney World and it is a shame his meet and greet locations just fall flat and are less then impressive. I wish each park had a spectacular location for Mickey and Minnie. The mouse is very over looked and he doesn't even have his own dark ride. Anyone else think the same?
The clown theme has one huge problem: people hate clowns. The Clown alley concept sounds cool[...]

Has anyone given thought to the parking lot behind the Exposition Hall? That area plus space from the hall could provide a fairly sizable Fab 5 M&G...
Back when I was a kid and Woodrow Wilson was President, Mickey didn't have any kind of a residence in the parks and no one really thought he needed one. Sure, I realize that Mickey's house has been a part of the MK for quite a number of years now, but I seriously doubt there'd be a huge populist uprising if he wasn't given a new "home" somewhere else in the park.
