Oh what i have been hearing about the game and having a friend who has actually played at as a gamer, he said it is not as good as first promised.

I was not aware of the "snarling rat Mickey" in the game. Every article I had read was that the game would change based on your actions/paths in the game and the "bad Mickey" would be called "scrapper."

Either way, it looks like a very good game, can't wait to see more of the news from E3.

Yeah, I wonder how truthful Ellis' comments really are.
This might just be a bit of flim-flam to say, "Oh no, Mickey doesn't look mean in this version. He USED to, but we took that out," when the 'scrapper' version is what they had in mind all along.

Or maybe there was an "evil" Runaway Brain version of Mickey we hadn't seen in the screencaps yet. I dunno.

I watched this game review. This is an interested game. I like this game very much. Despite this game will be another fantastic romp across the forgotten memories of Disney that news is disappointing. After all, the guy who dared to join the project first, recognizing that it may fail.

I'm not too happy about this move. It kinda ruins the whole decide your fate concept. I'm fine with the game not being as dark as the concept art, but they've really watered this game down.

I think what people are missing is that it was one of the biggest hits/surprises at E3 this year. Hands-on by the "gamers" were ALL positive. IGN and Gamespot all had great interviews and reviews of the game and these guys mentioned nothing about this change.

Actually, I saw a bunch of reviews that called it a rip off of Super Mario Galaxy. They said the controls were exactly the same, but the graphics weren't as good as Mario's.

Mario Galaxy did kinda set the new standard for 3D platformers on Wii though. Of course they'd use similar controls.

I'm not seeing how a ripoff of Galaxy including forgotten Disney references and new paint and thinner mechanics constitutes of a bad game. Galaxy is arguably the best game on the Wii, and if this game even comes CLOSE it'll be one of Disney Interactive's finest games of all time.

This is what I thought when I read the reviews, as the game has more to it that a traditional platformer, as far as I know. Graphically, I don't expect it to have the same quality as Mario Galaxy, because of the nature of the game. In terms of gameplay, I think the final game will be around as good as Mario Galaxy, and this could not only be one of Disney's best games, but one of the best games on the Wii.

Spector recently has talked more about the shift to the Guardian system recently. Apparently the goal behind it was to make a Karma system more subtle, as strong visual changes like Scrapper would just mean people would try and focus on playing the meter rather then making their own choices.

Also, have some Main Street gameplay

I love the way that the cutscenes look MORE primitive than the rest of the gameplay. That's such a neat departure from what the player expects, and forces you to concentrate on the story and dialogue during those sections.

Those clips have about sealed it for me. I'm gonna have to get a Wii just for this. I've been waffling over the last several months, but there just seems to be too much packed in here to pass up.

Sounds like you'll still be able to be mischievous, but Mickey just won't turn into a snarling rat anymore which is okay to me. Mickey has a history of being a little naughty sometimes, but never full out evil
