It is extremely likely that this was chosen to replace GMR specifically because they intend to place it in the Toontown expansion pad in DL, which they are eyeing for a ride after SWL.

I thought the intended area for this ride -- were it to go to DLR -- was actually in DCA in the area of the backlot (think Monsters Inc ride) if and when the current bus drop off area gets removed and repurposed for park use. Of course, that's entirely dependent on the parking lot project that still is in flux, so....

As for Toontown and the expansion pad next to SW:GE in DL, that's where the Frozen ride (clone of Tokyo's planned attraction) is supposed to go.

There is a plan to clone it. Although that idea hasn't been approved fully yet.

I'm maybe thinking Paris as it does need new rides and this would work well in WDSP.

That's cool that they're cloning it. Hopefully they clone the ride system and concept but not the actual location. Because it's all going to be screens and stuff they'd just have to animate a different plot and stuff.

I don't know why people get so upset about cloning rides.... Most visitors will never get a chance to visit more then one of these parks in their lifetimes. Reason being no offense to anyone but I am not going to go fly out to France to go to their version of the MK if I am going on a trip like that I am taking it to explore things that I can only see when I am in that country. I am lucky I have been to both US parks many times but I spend most of my time in the Orlando parks. That is where I like to go where I am comfortable and what I enjoy and because of that I want the best in my parks because I am not going to make those trips to see the cool ride in other areas.

Edit: also it sucks that DHS will be a park almost completely built on clones but it's whatever.

Although in about 1/2 the rides, DHS's will be superior and the originals.

From what I remember, SWL was designed for DHS but was also added to DL.

Because millions of people do not visit multiple parks. Those same millions may want to see that attraction at their home park.

Or because they are getting a ride we have in the swamps is going to make it worse? The thrill of the different parks is not the rides it is the way they disguise these rides and lands in different ways to fit these countries and places. But having Peter Pan in every park is a bad thing? Having a Space Mountain? Come on really.
