Oops I meant steel. Yes it has been received. Hopefully we seem something going up vertical soon. I want to see a facade by Christmas 😉
I knew what you meant. lol

Yes I would say vertical sometime this summer. And have it enclosed by the winter.

Did we ever get a final location for the entrance? Or is it still up for debate between Gag Factory and City Hall as the contenders?

I think it’s up for debate but I would bet on it going where City Hall is and the exit being through the gift shop.

So any MMRR news from Disneyland?

At this point I'd even take MMRR news from DHS....

Not related entirely to MMRR news, but in a recent Disney Parks Blog article- Link!

They mention expansions coming to WDW parks. In the article they mention "Mary Poppins Returns" and Epcot. So either this was a previously written article before corona that was just posted now, or Disney is still interested in creating a Mary Poppins expansion to Epcot.

And if Mary Poppins is still coming to Epcot, which has absolutely no construction started (and sources point to them not even knowing what ride system), then you can sure bet Runaway Railway will continue in Disneyland.

Just speculation that I probably wouldn't have shared, but anything to stop this which country is better talk, lol.

Yeah there is no doubt of MMRR coming to Disneyland, its been basically confirmed it still is.

I was trying to get this thread back on topic. ;)

That makes the most sense. Unless its the other way around. Turning Gag Factory into the movie theater facade and then exiting out of City Hall.

That’s possible too. From a crowd flow Perspective I think city hall makes more sense but of course that’s assuming the rest of the land stays exactly the same. Something tells me that little cluster of buildings outside of Gag Factory and that little gazebo might not survive.

Could be, could be. It'll be an interesting year to watch, as I would expect if they still plan on a 2022 opening that inside TT facade work would have to begin shortly after the new year.

Whatever it is I hope they plus the DHS version a little. Either way, it will be a nice addition to DL.
Well we already know its going to be slightly different, especially at the entrance. So I expect the experience will be slightly different as well. Maybe not dramatically different, but just different. Because this is a complete purpose built attraction, instead of taking an existing building and turning it into the attraction. So they should be able to improve the overall experience from what they've learned from the DHS build.

Looking at the original concept art, there's an additional open doorway next to the movie theater.

Assuming that's the exit/giftshop for M&MRR, Gag Factory and the Five and Dime may stay put without any changes after all.
