Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

I remember people referring to Smugglers Run as an E as well.... I think as fans we're starting to fall into the trap of referring to any new attraction that looks expensive as an E.

Agree on fans but by everyone I meant insiders. I thought they ve been referring to it as an E. Didn’t Marni even say that may be better than ROTR or something of the sort?

Yeah I was referring to Smugglers Run as a D two months before it opened. I think you can make the case the pilot role makes it an E ticket experience though.

Marni said depending on the person they might enjoy Mickey more. Not really talking about ticket level but by that you could say it’s an E.

I would argue that Smuggler’s Run is absolutely an E by nearly every metric, unfortunately I find it the experience to be way less than the sum of its parts.

But wouldn’t you say the experience is the biggest component that needs to be considered when classifying an attraction?

Hasn't the fandom kind of bastardized the term E-Ticket. So really it can mean anything to any person.

In reality an E-Ticket was any newest, most advanced, or popular attraction. So by that definition MF:SR and MMRR are both E-Tickets.

Or even an attraction like the Pack Mules we're an E-Ticket... Tiki Room wasn't even a ticket, you had to pay money to get inside.

E-Ticket really means nothing other then scope/scale of attraction, and or mega thrill ride. The only people who can truly classify how they deem an attraction is Disney... the rest of us are just going off how we like a ride/see it.

This ride is an E-Ticket.

After they stopped charging money for Tiki Room it became an E-Ticket. ;)

Well of course this discussion always ends up here. It’s subjective. However, I think the modern qualifications of an E ticket are pretty consistent.

Ok let’s play a game. Let’s all name the rides that we feel are E tickets at Disneyland. I’d wager the answers would be about 90% the same.
Start another thread for that so we don't clog up this one.

Also since DL hasn't had a new attraction since 2005 until MF:SR its of course going to be pretty much the same. The debate amongst people will be whether you include MF:SR on that list, which is where this debate started.

Wait but if it’s so subjective, why are all the answers going to be the same?

I wouldn't trust today's Disney to accurately classify a hippopotamus as a mammal.
They have gotten better since the days of referring to Mermaid as one (which they never have since). Since then I can only recall them specifically saying it about RSR, FoP, RotR, MF:SR, and the new Avengers ride. I think Mickey too. Not sure about EPCOT’s Guardians ride but I’m sure it will be. Of course this list is focusing on the US for simplicity.
