one reason it probably sold out so quickly is because of it being on a Friday (with Halloween on a Saturday next year, I'll be curious to see if it even reaches General Sales)
How is it selling out if no one goes to the parks anymore?

The parks are crowded, folks are SPENDING MONEY, buying food, merch, LLs!
Some folks think since its not "2019 MOBBED" that its not crowded; its crowded enough and with all the price increases on everything and the addition of the "money for nothing" LL, the per capita spending is UP, UP, UP!!

No no, you don't understand. Epic has taken away EVERY Disney guest. The parks are empty, I saw once that HM had an only 35 minute wait!!!!!!

So long as guest spend is more, then yeah that's exactly how it works penguin. You should pay better attention to the quarterly earnings reports.

You create FOMO by "selling out" a few dates early on. Then, due to "popular demand," you can MAGICALLY find some more "tickets" for those sold out dates.
Even better yet, your resort concierges can double their
ETA: I've been informed that Disney concierges are not allowed to accept tips. YMMV

I don’t get the scare quotes and scepticism. Yes, there are still ways of getting tickets in certain circumstances (I was given complimentary tickets a few years ago to a sold-out party after my own party night was rained out). But that doesn’t change the fact that you can no longer buy them online in the usual way. Though some here seem not to like the fact, the parties are popular and do sell out.
