Sorry, but that new Toy Story float is really ugly

Used to be a Pirates if the Caribbean float that was in the parade until 2017. Was absent in 2018, now it seems we know where it went.

Honestly when did Pirates become a Halloween thing, just in general? Like I know it’s been a long time but I don’t see how pirates evoke Halloween at all.

Also it feels like the Tomorrowland unit was supposed to be Monsters Inc, but before greenlite they changed it to Incredibles & Toy Story. Even the music is Monster Mash, just feels like it was supposed to be a Monsters Inc addition at one poimt.
Pirates [I'm talking the generalized concept of them here] have always been a Halloween thing. How many little kids have you seen dressed as pirates for Halloween? They are villian-y and certainly the Pirates films had their fair share of evil Pirates. Jack Sparrow has loose morals at the very least. Halloween as an American concept associates with the evil, the wacky, the weird, ect. Not to mention the first Pirates film is essentially a ghost story and the two after deal with some supernatural concepts.

Seems pretty natural to use them in association with Halloween. They certainly fit better there than at Christmas. What do you want? Captain Jack's Boozy Christmas Cruise? ;)

Yeah I have pirate Halloween decorations in my house, but I just think it’s funny we all associate pirates with Halloween. Like I don’t consider any pirate movies Halloween movies but they just are a Halloween thing. It’s weird.

Pirate is one of the most common Halloween costumes and in 2005 when Boo to You started, PotC was Disney's biggest franchise. It's not surprising they decided to capitalize on those two things and mix them together.

The ship float was made for the Pirate and Princess Parties and when those ended it just made sense to use the float for this event.

I hope Disney is limiting the number of these MNSSHP Sorcerers of the MK cards that the folk with the party pass allowing them to get into 35 parties can get. Would love to have some left over for those of us attending at the end of the month. Also want to see them stay fairly rare. Maybe allow them 3 (given that the price of their passes is three times that of a normal party pass?

it's a theme park video game card. does the rarity actually matter.

So... no one going to comment on the fact that Minnie had a new voice? Doesn't sound like Russi Taylor to me, I guess this was her replacement's first role, even though a new voice has not yet officially been announced. Given Minnie (who always speaks English at Disneyland Paris) now only speaks French in the new Paris shows, I'm sure Russi hadn't been recording any voices for a while.
Does this mean that the new voice actor (If it gets revealed yet) might voice her in the new Christmas Fireworks show "Minne's Wonderful Christmastime".

Got to see it on Friday and I will start with the fact that yes i did love the previous version and it probably swayed me slightly on my overall opinion. With that said, the show was a good stage show (the castle became the stage) with the bonus of fireworks and my family enjoyed it. However it lacked a classic, cohesive soundtrack that I would play at home or in my car. The fireworks were good and it was great that they used the surround more during the show, however it did take away that "Wow" moment at the end when the surround fireworks have been used in past. The projections are beautiful and the story was "ok" but it was missing a really good score. First thing i did when i got home was play the old version on the stereo (yes it was 1 a.m. at that time but a good way to end the evening)

We purchased the unlimited pass so we will see it again and hope we become as fond of this show as we were of the previous one. If not its still a good show and I look forward to seeing it again. For now though, when i am at home and I hear the fireworks begin outside, I can assure you I will be playing the old show on the speakers out on the patio. Music and Pyro won't be in sync but oh well!

Quick side note, I have watched the videos and will say its definitely better in person.

Wow they really harped on that Not so scary part of the name... how do you have a full ghost segment without playing Grim Grinning Ghosts? Halloween is one of my favorite times of year and I really loved the Ghost Host being the host of the Halloween show. I get why they chose Jack, and enjoyed seeing him here...but this seems to be missing something truly spooky.

While I was watching the new Halloween fireworks show on youtube, I notice Minnie's voice sounded different. Are you guys sure that was Russi Taylor's Minnie Mouse voice? It's sounds different to me.❓
