Ok, here we go.....

Exactly, you watched the VIDEO. You haven't experienced the ride first hand, therefore your opinion isn't even valid. By the way, it's not a pyramid, it's a Mayan temple. If I was Mexican I would be highly offended right now!:ROFLOL:
IT IS A PYRAMID, GOOGLE IT!
"The Maya were noted as well for elaborate and highly decorated ceremonial architecture, including temple-pyramids, palaces and observatories, all built without metal tools. They were also skilled farmers, clearing large sections of tropical rain forest and, where groundwater was scarce, building sizable underground reservoirs for the storage of rainwater. The Maya were equally skilled as weavers and potters, and cleared routes through jungles and swamps to foster extensive trade networks with distant peoples. "

[But I can't believe you would write a letter after only watching a video. You must be one of those people.
Yes, I AM one of those people...in fact....the Disney Corporation just called me and thanked me for my letter and that they were passing it on to Sr. Mgt. I guess you must not be a business owner, businesses LIKE feedback good or bad so they know how their customer's feel about things. Letters from us are what they use, in part, to make future business decisions.

You based your opinion on a video? There's your problem right there. I wouldn't judge anything until you experience it for yourself.....

So I guess you never have an opinion about any movie you have ever watched because it was not YOU living it? Come on, that was lame.

This has probably been said countless times before... but the new life breathed into what was once a tired, old pavillion, along with the fact that the new Gran Fiesta Tour actually can hold a line will probably negate any fastidious letters.

:D

And let us not forget, learning must always be boring.

So World Showcase as it was two months ago was boring to you? Who said anything needed to be boring? If education was boring, Discovery, TLC, etc. would not be on the air......
Um, judging by the , she was being sarcastic.

Just a little suggestion, learn how to mulit quote so you don't have a bunch of posts in a row....that can get annoying sometimes.

I think you needed 3 more exclamation points to get your point across...

But seriously, really? You take the time to write Disney and complain about a ride that you saw on a video? That letter is probably either going to be put up on a wall and laughed at, or either thrown away immediately. Over react much?

Like it or not, this is a posting board and people are free to express their opinions...that's why it is here! Was I insulting YOU...um....NO. Why on earth would you react that way towards me? I have never met you and would have no reason to attack you personally no matter what you said about Disney. You of all people should be respecting a person's freedom of speech, right? Isn't that what you defend? Agree or disagree with a post but I wish you guys would not attack the poster on these boards, that is not right. And by the way, Disney called me today to thank me for my letter...they did not email...they actually took the time to call me. My letter did not end up in the trash. As I said in a previous post, business like when customers write because it provides them valuable feedback, good or bad.

Umm.. they changed the scenery in the films. It now includes more of Mexico.

Only the water-skiing scene and the cliff divers are pretty much the same scene but with Donald. Everything else is new.

I haven't seen it yet, but we will be there next Friday (April 20). I am glad to hear the cliff divers are still there. That was my favorite part.

hahahahahahaha...well woop-de-freakin-do! That's Disney's policy on ANY complaint letters. They don't care what you think. They care about your money, and at some point they learned that if they pretend they care about every ridiculous letter they receive, you are more likely to return. If you are lucky, your letter MAY have made it to Brad Rex's secretary's desk, who opened it, read it, laughed at it, and shredded it, so don't feel special. There will be no changes to Gran Fiesta Tour anytime soon given the generally positive response it has received.

why on earth do people have to be so defensive....

*picks up toy's and puts them back in the pram*

its only a ride - the first iteration was old and tired, so they tried a more approachable design and from the same video you watched it kinda worked. Kids can relate to eductional exhibits if they have some form of interaction with familiar icons, in this case disney cartoon classics...

Why not get worked up on something a bit more important, like global warming - and the *bright* idea of staging earth aid - which will have associated with it an astronomical amount of carbon emisions as part of the logistics of the event.

Nice.......... Honestly, how can people who love Disney be so hateful to eachother?? I am absolutely shocked and very sad at your unkind words towards me.

Well then I'm going to write a letter to Disney praising them on the wonderful job they did breathing new life into a tired old attraction, since that is infact what they did. :brick:
I'm sure I will get the exact same response as you did, its known as a cookie cutter response. Do you realize how many letters they probably get per day positive and negative? They will tell you what you want to hear to keep you coming to their parks. I honestly doubt they gave your letter some sort of special treatment.

I bet you think they ruin PoTC too don't you? This is looking more and more like a thread made a few weeks back with a title almost identical about PoTC, posted by someone who got banned............hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.:lookaroun

Watched the ride through video and I am disgusted. They have a beautiful pyramid and scenery and THAT'S the best they could come up with?? I wrote a letter to Disney, not that it matters much to them, but I just felt I had to say or do something.... If I were Mexican, I would be HIGHLY insulted by this ride...this is how Disney chose to portray Mexico? Oh gee, lets go into this ancient Mayan pyramid and see....CARTOONS????????? Donald Duck??????? Why Bother????????? What on Earth were they thinking??? Horrible, pathetic, sad. What is happening to Epcot? Why do they only want to attract thrill seekers and preschoolers now? It's really sad to see this happening.

You are right, what was Disney thinking featuring Donald Duck in one of their attractions. Perhaps they should have had an animatronic human sacrifice scene to enhance the Mayan experience.

ROFL well put, or better yet maybe they should theme the entire ride around the movie APOCALYPTO. :ROFLOL:

Can everybody please spend more time talking about the actual attraction, and less time talking about each other?

Thank you.
