Metal detectors fall all?

I've never found this to be a problem. Heck, they use X-ray machines and metal detectors at Universal everyday, and I swear it's a LOT faster than WDW's security.
That said, I ALWAYS put all my pocket items in a large zip lock bag and put that in my back pack or belly bag before approaching security.
I get through security a LOT faster that way as everything is right there for them to check, and I go straight through the metal detector.
They usually grab me anyway as I always wear either a fedora or Tilley hat, and for some reason those of us that do catch the eye of the security guards at the metal detector, so I just 'assume' I'm going to have to go through anyway.
Now it doesn't matter. I'm ready.

I said this before and I will say it again.
Americans are weird.
1) It is ok "required" because the second amendment says so to own hand guns.
2) but I am paranoid about going to public places willing to submit to metal detectors everywhere just to feel save.

Meanwhile watch the news Paris, Berlin terrorism can happen anywhere.
The only way you will be safe is too stay at home.

If they want to wand me at Epcot ok fine, because of people like you I have no choice.
1) I will not feel any safer "Not like I worry going anywhere"
2) I will go back less often "WDW does not trust us why should I bother with them"

Shhh,, stop pointing out the plot holes.

Related note... Six Flags by my house has a ridiculously rigorous security screening process. They stop just short of donning gloves for a cavity search. All this and yet, at several places in the parking lot, a 14 year old with a good arm could chuck a large ham (or gun) right over the fence into the public areas. The security seems to be just to make the ignorant comfortable and to keep out spontaneous (as opposed to premeditated) gun violence.

I do the same! Except my large ziplock is my purse. Throw it in the bin, walk through, flash open my HP robe (it's not what you think, they ask sometimes so now I always do it when wearing) and done. Iv'e gotten to the point that if there are no people in front of me I barely have to slow down.
