And a wall.. umm.. ok, not exciting really, but they're removing those blue ceramic tiles like they have from the rest of the park.

This wall is more interesting - they're installing stroller parking behind the Seas photo op.

And of course, they're trying to hide the remnants of the wand..

Enouh wall nonsense.. Lookie! New signage!

And once you get close enough to get the sun out of your eyes, it actually looks pretty neat.

But yes, it IS affixed the tarpy canopy plaza stuff. Oh well.. But they're removing the paitn for the canopies over Fountain View - so those are definately going.

To the Contemporary, where they're totally not building a DVC *eye roll*

That's certainly not the crescent shaped building from the concept art..

And that's surely not an elevator shaft/core for a 15 story building..

Anywho.. indoors there's work installing the new quick service on the 4th floor..

Brand new tile replacing the old black-stone crap - yes, crap, it was oogly.

And they got of the bizarre wavy-pleated-stuff that was on the planters around the mural.

Lotsa work...

And here's the new store going in:

And i doubt the tackey colors and carpet at the monorail station will remain..

What's it gonna be? Give me a few seconds and you shall see

Um.. no. I live near Tampa. I still have no idea why folks think I live in AZ.

might be faster with the construction and traffic to come from AZ sometimes :ROFLOL:

but Tampa is nice... in the winter and maybe spring and fall.. but not summer :fork:

Back to Epcot, and at the tram-unloading area they're missing a light pole. A small plant effectively replaces it.. I totally couldn't tell.

Inside, it's getting dark..

I see a sign for "Disney's best kept secret..." in those pics.... anyone know what that is?

I'm totally kidding... I also see in the next pic there is a DVC sign. Have they had a booth or presence there for awhile? I'm a fan of DVC, I like the accommodations and the resorts, but I have to say... I'm tired of the pimping of the program. I get it's a huge money maker for Disney but dang. I'd like to try and not see 15 kiosks a day when visiting.

I sang the SSE theme while i took these photos.

The bright spot is actually the moon, but i didn't realize it was in the frame until i lost my prime trash-can tripod spot

Oh well, it's all still pretty. From the parking lot..

Ugh I can see in the concept art that the ugly purple and green elevator is still there to the monorail platform... I was hoping that something would be done to that.

My guess is that they'll be removing the "stubble" from SSE and repairing/replacing the damaged tiles. There was a comment in another thread that the crane is expected to be removed at the end of the week. My guess is that the wand stump is short enough that they can take the rest of it down with ground-based man-aboard lifts and/or a much smaller crane.
