What is this? It on my reservations, and looks like they are asking for a code on the back of a card. I'm assuming that is the photopass card? What if I prepaid the photopass plus ahead of time?

Thanks!

I believe that this is what you will use for the photo pass + now. If you prepaid for that, I believe you link it to your magic band instead of having to carry it around with you. I also think you can now link it to all of the magic bands in your party, that way you won't have combine other cards if someone takes a pic without your pp+ card, but I am not 100% on any of this, its just what I took from reading about it. Hopefully someone will have detailed knowledge of it because I am coming up on a trip and need to figure all of that out.

Thank you! That's helpful! I will have to wait for Mickey Mail to get it then I think. Which will be after I get the magic bands. But I guess it will all work out.

Yes and no. Memory Maker is the new equivalent of PhotoPass+, IE purchasing Memory Maker will let you get your ride and dining photos. However, it is download only, you don't get a CD of your photos, nor do you get the stock photo CD.
MyDisneyPhotopass will automagically show the pictures associated with all the MBs of your room reservation, and they can link others (need to call them to do this), however the Memory Maker portion will only on the MB of the person who bought it. Quoting from the Memory Maker FAQs here -> https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/memory-maker/linking-attraction-photos/
Attraction photos can only be linked to your Disney account if Memory Maker is assigned to you. Your family and friends cannot link attraction photos to their Disney account.

The big unknown at this point is Memory Maker even worth it? You don't get physical copies of your dining pics anymore (or so I am led to believe), and ride pictures are just magically showing up in peoples accounts from the long range RFID in the MBs. I don't know if people who had them show up are able to dl them for free or not however.

I just want to make sure I understand....you don't get hard copies of the dining photos? That's okay I guess but I don't want download - I want the CD. They didn't have me pick one when I prepaid for it with my resort reservation.

As for other peoples pics added to your acct and needing the primary band (mine), so if my DH rides TOT, then he needs to take my MB to scan the ride photo? If he just uses his, it won't add to our disk? I can't ride TOT which is why I won't be one it but he will be. I mean, he can take my MB so he can do this but that's a lot of hassle I think. Am I understanding this right?

They stopped doing hard copies of the dining photos towards the ends with PP+ I believe, but the current Memory Maker terms here -> https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/memory-maker/prints-products/ state
Q.
Does Memory Maker include any physical photo prints or products?
A.
Memory Maker is a digital-only entitlement. You can visit the Disney PhotoPass website to purchase prints, Disney Photo Gifts and other products using your Disney PhotoPass photos.
state no more prints from dining.

That is my understanding, yes. If the Memory Maker is tagged to your band, that band will need to be the one used to claim the photos. Either your DH can use it, or you can walk in the gift shop area, and claim the picture at the photo booth yourself. That option works if you are waiting for him in the area, but if you are meeting up later that's not as easily done. You should be able to return at any later point in the day (assuming you took note of the number before) and have it added then.

Quoting another bit from the PP website,

Q.
How do I link an attraction photo to my Disney account so that I am able to download it with my Memory Maker purchase?
A.
Immediately after you have experienced a participating attraction, please visit the attraction’s Sales Center and link the photo to your Disney account. You can link the photo using any MagicBand or card linked to your account—including Memory Maker cards and Disney PhotoPass Cards.

Attraction photos can only be linked to your Disney account if Memory Maker is assigned to you. Your family and friends cannot link attraction photos to their Disney account.

What we did, as suggested by a CM, is get a generic photo card for each member of you party. Let them use it as if it were the old PP+ card and at any time during your vacation or after you can link the card(s) to you MM account and it will pull the pictures off the other cards.

I am assuming I will be waiting for him in the waiting area so I can grab the photos. Thanks for this tip b/c this would have really screwed us up. In the event I am meeting with him later, then I will give him my band. What a hassle though. I think they need to change that policy and have it attach to anyone's band in your party.

I bought PP+ for our upcoming trip before all this madness began. I better be getting physical photos at our dining locations that gave them to us before....

I don't recall the terms ever stating that you got the physical pictures, rather that you got the digital copies. It made sense for them to give you the pictures as they already had printed them, and you weren't going to buy them since you had the digital for free, and could get copies at home for cheap. But I don't recall them ever saying they were part of the package.

I don't want to start a whole new thread... does anyone know if they're still selling the Attractions+? That seemed like the best option for us and now I'm worried it will go away with Memory Maker.

The attraction photos are included in Memory Maker.
I know, but I wanted to get the separate Attractions+. I don't want all the other stuff :(

Edit: Looks like the Disney Parks blog says Attractions+ is staying (hopefully that's true, haha.) Don't mind me

What is PhotoPass+?

On April 4, 2012, Disney introduced PHOTOPASS+, an all-inclusive package with all your PhotoPass photos PLUS select attraction photos AND Dining Print Packages (taken within a 14 day visit), all for $199.95. PhotoPass+ will be sold at PhotoPass viewing stations located throughout Walt Disney World.

It did. My point is I didn't purchase MM, I purchased PP+. I expect to receive all of the benefits, including printed pictures, that I paid for when purchasing that specific package. If not, I'm sure they will gladly refund my money. I shouldn't have to pay to have them printed elsewhere when the cost of those prints is already factored into the package I purchased.

I think that it is correct that you got the hard copies b/c they had already printed them. And they would just toss them out other wise. But I can confirm that in sept 2012, the first time we did photo pass +, I didn't get the hard copies from all places. From most, but not all.

I've been watching this thread since @disneygirl76 started it in December, because I, too, had the same concern: already bought PP+ in advance, prior to the switch to My Memory Maker. After reading the responses, I wanted to reconfirm everything, so I called Disney PhotoPass service, and here's what I learned:

If you purchased PP+, but have yet to activate (i.e. begin your WDW vacation):

1. Bring your PP+ voucher with you and redeem it at the places listed on voucher, as usual. Cannot do online via MDE prior to arrival.

2. You will still receive the red PP+ card. If you are traveling with others, they can simply put PP and attraction pics on their MB, or onto a physical PP card given out by Disney photographers. Then, follow #5.

3. The claiming of photos remains the same: 30 days from date when pic is taken. AND, redeeming of PP picture CD begins 30 days from date when pics are claimed. I.e. I'm visiting AK on Feb. 8th, I have until March 10th to claim the pics and until April 9th to redeem my PP pic CD via redemption code.

4. PP+ purchasers still get a physical picture CD, using the promo code that came with the stock photo CD.

5. Suggestion: the day before you check out of your resort, locate a Disney PP booth and link ALL MB's from your travel party AND any PP cards picked up along your trip, to the red PP+ card. I.e. We will do this on Feb. 14th at the GF on the 2nd floor…I will then have EVERYONE's pics in my account, which will be put on my PP pic CD order.

Here's what I learned about the My Memory Maker:
1. The PP picture CD that was included in the price of PP+ is NO LONGER included in the price of MMM. Ordering a pic CD is an extra expense with MMM.

2. Also, no more physical pictures received at dining locations. It's all digital.

To me, MMM doesn't sound like an added expense we will make for future trips. All's well that ends well?

P.S. Please let me know if the info above conflicts with info you've received. I will then be calling Disney PP service again.

I called to make some changes to our resort package over the weekend. And in doing so, the cast member told me that I could switch to Memory Maker and save $10. Sure - why not I asked. She said that everything was the same as Photopass + however, its now linked to my magic band. AND you do not get a disk. You have 45 days to purchase one from the date of the first photo taken. It will cost me $19.99. I went ahead and did it. I am trying to embrace this whole Magic Band thing so why not. I just hope there are no issues. My fear is that there will be a glitch and they won't save to my magic band and won't be available. But I suppose, that's a risk with the photopass + cards as well.
