What is this? It on my reservations, and looks like they are asking for a code on the back of a card. I'm assuming that is the photopass card? What if I prepaid the photopass plus ahead of time?

Thanks!

We used MM during our Christmas vacation (12/20-1/4) and had only a few glitches that were not uncommon to PhotoPass prior.

Our first ride photo of the trip never showed up on our account even though the PP kiosk could see it was pending but never made available. The ride was Test Track and the image was not very good as the group in the front row was holding something up and blocked my son anyway therefore not a big deal and our photo from 'Ohana was of another family for some reason, this was using the receipt they provided with our prints that should not have been printed in the first place.

All in all, we have 390 photos including attractions, character and general icon shots. We have not done any photo editing yet such as adding borders, or other modifications before downloading so I don't know how the download process will work just yet but will update over the next few weeks as I get time to dig in start working on them.

My main complaint this year is there seem to be fewer photographers this visit than in any visit prior with PP, this may be perception but it used to seem like there were photographers everywhere but not anymore. However many of the photographers took more shots and took more time individually with my family and I, many really seemed to care about their work and took time to get the right angles and setup the shoot which really made us happy with the service.

Thanks for letting me know about the glitches. They are not uncommon but seem to be in greater number then I have encountered in one trip before. Honestly, the only time it didn't work was when we had a captain hook magic shot and it never came through. I'm still trying to recreate it but haven't found anyone that does it.

I know, but I wanted to get the separate Attractions+. I don't want all the other stuff :(

Edit: Looks like the Disney Parks blog says Attractions+ is staying (hopefully that's true, haha.) Don't mind me

Like you, I don't want the other stuff (we never have enough PhotoPass/Memory Maker pictures to justify the cost). I called PhotoPass customer service today to ask about it. Attractions+ is still available, but the price has gone up from $44.95 to $49.95. I think it's still a good value. Besides, I prefer the digital downloads to prints because I like being able to correct the lighting and color issues that often appear in the on-ride photos.

I have a question... I have purchased MM also and linked it to my magic band... my husbands magic band is managed by me. will he be able to use his magic band to take photos also? or is it all on me ?

Anyone in the same party can attach photos to your account. For example, I have my own account but my wife is allowed to manage my FP & ADRs through hers as well as she controls both of my children's information. All four MBs and all four KttW cards were able to associate photos without issue the entire vacation.

Is there still a discount for ordering early? The last time we are down was in 2009. Eeek. So much has changed!
I just looked online and I guess you save $50 if you order early? Also, watched the video, do they really take candid shots? I don't remember any candid shots from my last trip.

I guess it depends on how you define candid shots? During character interactions they took quite a few candid shots, the photographers at photo-op locations generally were posed.

from the video it made it look like they took pictures while you were watching the parade or walking down main street. It seemed very misleading. :)

We had one photographer on Main St. USA that did take a few candid shots of various people then handing them PP cards but guests (mostly kids) started jumping up for posed photos with the empty street and limited the photos he could take. We did get a couple shots of us sitting, waiting for the parade though.

So no free picture CD with MM, but you can purchase one for additional $$$? How much for the CD (sorry if I missed this in another post)?

How do I know who is "managing the bands"? Is it the person with a MDE account? B/c that is me, but my name is not the named name (does that make sense?) on the reservations. It comes in under my husband's name.

So am I am charge if I get MM (as you cannot even purchase PP+ anymore)?
B/c I had better be! ;)

I am very confused by all this.:(

To those who said WDW is no longer giving out printed photos for meals that include photos in the meal package price: what about people who don't purchase MemoryMaker? Are they still getting hard copies, or do they have to download their photos, too?

Only Memory Maker get the download only, hard copies can be purchased by anyone including those with MM.

Cool. I thought they were making it seem more then it was :)

They seem to do more during off-peak times though. Depending on when you go they may do more as there were a lot of photographers last summer doing things with props and such but that was under the PhotoPass+ marketing name so I don't know how much has really changed now.

The one thing I have noticed, there were more engaged photographers this Christmas than we have ever had. Photographers that really seemed to enjoy their work, took pride in the photos, encouraged different poses and interacted with us out of joy and not simply doing their job like a Wal-Mart greeter.

We had to cancel our Oct 13 trip and I already has the PP+ voucher which I was told just to bring the voucher when we had re booked our trip, all good. Then they announced MM! So I emailed them and this is the reply
"

Guess I don't see buying the memory maker if it doesn't include a CD, That is kind of the reason you would get the Photo pass+, If you have to buy your photos why do it?? How much is the Memory maker? and then you have to pay an extra 19.99 for a cd?

I am not positive, but it sounds like you can download your pictures onto your computer and then put them on your own CD or just print them out yourself. I hope this is how it works anyway.

I think it is also that you no longer get the stock photos on CD from Disney like you did with PP+. That is my understanding, anyway. It seems a lot of people liked those.

We are not going till Oct 14 so I still have plenty of time to make my mind up. I hope this is some help.

I wonder, though, if you will still have the choice by next October. It is a long way away. They say it now, but I also would not be surprised if you got closer and they said that PP+ has been eliminated and you must convert. I think it is about even odds on the forced switch.
