Trip Report Meet the Floridians

Hello humans!

Most of you know me by now, but for those of you who haven't followed my past TR's (particularly my most recent), I'll do some brief introductions. Feel free to check out my past reports (in my signature) if you'd like!

Who: I'm Brittany! I'm 25 and completely Disney obsessed. My better half is Dylan, also 25 and not quite as Disney obsessed. Prior to meeting me, he had never been to WDW! It was obviously top priority to remedy that.

This is our baby, Tink. She also loves Disney.

We got engaged in Magic Kingdom in June.. my dream come true! Though our wedding won't take place in Disney, it will be Disney themed.

While we were enjoying our time in the World, I accepted a 1st grade teaching position in Osceola County, Florida. Fast forward a month, and we packed up a U-Haul to relocate from Pennsylvania to the Sunshine State!

We currently live 20 minutes from Disney property, and one of our first purchases should come as no surprise. This report will be a collection of our adventures as annual passholders, and I'll update it with a Table of Contents as we go. Now, without further ado...

Thursday, February 1 cont.

P was super excited to see the castle from her window!

We finally arrived at the Contemporary and went to check in! While we waited, I ran into one of the shops to get P her birthday button.

We actually had a pretty long wait and the kids were getting grumpy... Auntie was getting grumpy too. #hangry Our pager finally buzzed and we were led to our table.

Time for food!

This waffle bar was AWESOME. Everything is better when it's Mickey shaped.

I have the palette of a 6 year old, as you should all know by now. That mac & cheese was the BEST.

We take food seriously in this family.

The characters started coming around pretty quickly. Goofy was up first!

The big cheese was next and N was not impressed.

He sat at our table for a few minutes, which P thought was great.

I know that Mickey is short, but I feel like this one was abnormally short lol.

Minnie came around next and N finally came to life.

He still wanted somebody to hold him, but he was SO excited to see Minnie lol. He kept waving and blowing her kisses. When she walked away from our table he stood up on his chair and pointed one finger at Minnie and one finger at Mickey (on opposite sides of the restaurant). He started yelling "two Mickey's!"

While we waited for the other characters to come around, our waitress brought P a birthday cupcake.

I made another trip up to the buffet for the good stuff.

Out of nowhere, Pluto came bounding up to our table and gave P lots of puppy kisses. Her little giggle was just so sweet!

He was fully of energy and she loved him!

Donald was next!

P couldn't stop talking about how Donald and Pluto put her autograph book on their noses to sign.

Still not completely sold, but he's getting better lol.

Mickey happened to walk past us and we asked if we could try to get another picture with N since he was warming up to the characters now. He happily obliged! N blew him lots of kisses.

My ears got confiscated at some point during our meal.

We got to participate in some napkin waving right before we left and I got hit in the face with P's a time or two. We went to the bathroom in shifts before heading back up to the monorail.

Pictures while we waited! These two. N absolutely ADORES Dylan... they have such a special bond.

When he realized that we were taking pictures of them, he immediately started acting like a goofball. He got a real kick out of himself.

P wanted in on the fun, but my dad had other ideas.

When we arrived back at Epcot, we decided to hop in the standby line for Spaceship Earth. I noticed Daisy on our way there, so we made a detour. P was mad because she wanted to go ride and refused to participate in pictures. For whatever reason, N had been talking about wanting to meet Daisy so this was a perfect opportunity!

We pretty much walked onto Spaceship Earth and were soon here!

I felt bad that P didn't get to see her face in the picture but she thought that Dylan and I were hilarious. She kept mimicking our faces and told everybody about our silly pictures.

We continued on and stopped to attempt a picture in front of these beautiful flowers!

The kids had other plans. P was pouting because N wanted to be in the picture with us. #auntieprobs Also, holding two kids is HARD lol.

We decided to stop at Club Cool for some drink sampling. Try the Beverly, it's delicious! Don't believe me? Ask the... oh wait. My brother was first.

Can't ask for a better reaction than that hahaha.

My sister-in-law went next.

Got them good.

We didn't make the kids try it... we'll save that for next time when they're a little older.

We had a FP+ for Turtle Talk with Crush so that was our next stop. Everybody really enjoyed Crush and his humor! We spent some time walking around the aquarium after we were done. This sweet diver made P's day.

We continued on toward the World Showcase for the main event... the whole reason we came to Epcot. Where were we headed?

The destination of every 5 year old princess in the park.

I wasn't overly impressed with our Anna and Elsa, but P was over the moon and that's all I could have asked for. She was completely starstruck, especially when she met Elsa. Even N got excited to meet royalty!

And now for the main event. Her dream was finally coming true! I've never seen her be so shy lol. Absolutely starstruck.

When we were leaving, N turned over my sister-in-law's shoulder and was waving bye to the girls. Elsa acknowledged him and he then proceeded to blow her a kiss. We were cracking up! A heartbreaker in the making.

We were all getting hungry so decided to go find a snack before returning to Norway for our Frozen FP+. Dylan and I grabbed treats from Karamel Kuche and everybody else got snacks and drinks from the window in Germany.

These pretzels are HUGE! And holy cow are they good! This is a snack that I'll definitely be repeating.

We started making our way back to Norway so we could finally use our coveted Frozen FP+! P was soooo excited! My mom had bought her the Elsa ears after our meet and greet.

Her eyes were huge the entire ride... she was in absolute heaven!

I'm so sad that you can't see the kids in our picture. I wish we would have gotten the front rows.

After our ride, we decided that it was time for some actual dinner.

This counts as dinner, right? I think I had the strawberry one and it was SO good! This stand is such a great addition to Mexico!

We did walk next door to La Cantina de San Anvel for some actual food. I had the Tacos de Pollo and they were AMAZING! My mom had the nachos and they were really good, too. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I'll definitely be back. We walked around for awhile trying to find a table and were finally able to find out with a perfect view right on the water.

We stopped for a family picture after finishing our dinner. P was getting pictured-out.

We decided to do one last ride... Test Track! Originally, it was just going to be Dylan, my brother, my sister-in-law, and I however P threw a fit when she figured out that we were riding something without her. We measured her and she was tall enough to go. We explained that it was a really fast ride and it might be scary, but she was determined to ride with us. We hopped in the standby line and my parents kept N, but we were sure to do child swap so they'd be able to ride when we were done. The wait was posted at 40 minutes, but it ended up being a little less than that. We let P dictate most of our car design.

Before we knew it, we were in our car and ready to go! She was ECSTATIC!

The verdict? She absolutely LOVED it. She giggled and squealed the entire ride and was downright giddy when we got off. She could not stop talking about it! Because we had 3 child swap passes, she was able to ride again with my parents. My mom videoed her and it's hilarious. She literally laughs the entire time.

I had a lot of hope for our next park day now that we knew she liked thrill rides! I still can't believe that she liked it as much as she did, but I'm so glad she was brave and wanted to give it a try!

After that, the park was closed so we made our way out. Everybody had a great first day but we were tired and ready for bed. We took Friday off from the parks to relax and get ready for Saturday at MK!

It might not matter as you didn't type the name out, but if your SIL is worried about her kids' names out there with their pictures, you might want to blur the name on the birthday button.

Noooo If I remember correctly, I didn't end up going that weekend because we had other stuff going on. There's always next time.

Yeah, yeah....not love for the buffet friends.... We will be back 100% in September but our normal June trip is up in the air!!

It might not matter as you didn't type the name out, but if your SIL is worried about her kids' names out there with their pictures, you might want to blur the name on the birthday button.

I thought about it but figured it's okay since I haven't actually typed her name out. Good catch though!

I can't even imagine them being adults! I definitely enjoy every moment I get to spend with them, especially at their current ages. They're just so much fun!
