It just doesn't add up to me, because the majority of people I see at WDW are female (usually), and it just doesn't seem like they really care whether the host is attractive or not. It is only us guys that do (most of the time).

Either you're surrounded by women who lie or you've never actually asked. Women are just as capable to appreciate beauty as men are. They just dont obsess over it once the moment passes.

Also, it should be noted that "attractive female host" is relative to its environment. Kryssa may be attractive for resort tv, but in the entertainment world then she's pretty average. And thats her appeal. Its not like theyre s.exing up resort tv by putting Angelina Jolie waxing the dumbo ride so getting a host that appeals to both genders isnt that big a deal.

Oh I'd watch it, esp Angelina Jolie waxing Dumbo in a two piece with Gwen Stefani holding the hose for a water fight with her. :lookaroun

I can hear the background music now
"Girls on Film!.." :sohappy:

There are plenty of women who appreciate beauty on here, as well as some that just hate those that aren't beautiful enough. Give them women a chance to speak their mind and they'll tell you if they think someone's beautiful or not. (And some do obsess over it, it's just a bit harder to tell)

Whoever said that an attractive male would only appeal to women only is wrong. In actuality men will pay more attention to an ad with an attractive male than they would if there would be some hot girl in it. It's because guys seem to compare themselves to other men. I guess it doesn't necessarily mean that they would find a guy attractive, just that they would pay attention if there was a guy host....

Look, I got into modeling because I'm much too lazy to hold a job where I actually have to do work.Simple as that... I'm LAZY, I'd rather be sleeping or reading then working after school. Hair modeling is not tough at all, except you need to deep condition once every two days at the stylist and get it cut every week, but compared to the poor souls who work at fast food places and such, its nothing. I had a short attention span, and I would probably get fired from a part time job. But not modeling. Running your fingers through your hair and looking at the camera isn't really hard.

I also model because I can. Simple as that. Why not smile for a hour and get five hundred dollars...and god knows I need money to support my traveling fund!

I had a feeling that the modeling thing was taking a crack at me, and I don't think that's very fair...and you're taking it personal now, and that's not even remotely cool. I just thought I would be interesting to say that out of all the products that I've modeled, none of them have actually been used on me. You didn't have to turn that around.

I'm not saying anything about it at all. I was actually going to model in Chicago but decided I had better things to do with my time (school, work and other things). I even turned down the lead role of a movie.

And I've done a commercial for Disney now too. Now, you don't see me going and saying actors/actresses are ugly or they have a nasty voice.

As far as smile for an hour and get $500, sounds cheap to me. I did my commercial for 5 seconds and got almost $300. I think it's time you talk to your agent or find a better modeling agency to work for.

But she is ugly. Or maybe the pictures are just really bad... but she's not nearly as cute as *gasp* Kyrssa.

And I do ad modeling, not actual T.V modeling... the companies I model for are pretty broke, all small saloons and such. The ad's appear in local Calgarian magazines, as well as a national movie theatre magazine. But for magazine modeling, I don't think $500-700 for a hour is bad at all...but I'm going to keep in mind that you recieve AMERICAN money, making it much more then the amount I get...

Well, the whole Disney commercial came about after I "retired" from the whole modeling/acting thing. I didn't have the time to put into any of it, but when Disney came to me, I couldn't say no.

And I didn't mean harm by what I was saying...all I was trying to do was give you a little reality check. Many people on here have said that looks don't matter (which I firmly agree with) and that modeling and all that won't mean much. Honestly, I think most would look down upon it, and one reason why I don't care too much about what I've done. I've had to question some things about you, but I'll just let it be and use the common saying around here "to each their own."

And with that, I've given my $0.02

 My profile has the picture I used to get the lead role in the movie. As far as the Disney commercial, they came up to me and asked to do it when I saw "On the Record."

How about seeing some new pictures of Megan from the Top 7?!?

The movie is a remake of The Breakfast Club. And On the Record was a Disney musical that got cancelled because only us Disney folk went out and saw it, and not enough of the outsiders.

I thought it was an excellent show, along with everyone that saw it the same night as me. I still think it was some of the best money I've ever spent. I am always listening to the soundtrack to it as well, it's amazing.

I think you misinterpreted my point. I never said or implied that women don't or can't appreciate beauty. I am sure they can that is why they are beautiful creatures (and there are quite a few that obsess over it as some one else pointed out), but my point was I don't see how someone came to the conclusion that attractive females are the best marketable approach to a Disney resort vacation.
Couldn't the same show be done by a child or an animated character and then therefore reach the whole family especially a child? I mean I understand that not only "stereotypical nuclear" families go to WDW/DL, but if we use that guest segment isn't it the child who says, "mommie, daddy lets go on this I heard it was fun!"
I personally don't see how it matters, as long as the information is dispersed intelliegently.

I really dont think these infomercial type shows are aimed at kids. And i know for sure that kids dont lead the group like they do in the commercials. If the kids were in charge then you'd spend the whole day running from one end of the park to the other and eating ice-cream and churros for lunch. Kids will ride all the rides they want, but its the parents who do the scheduling.

So these are clearly for adults. And more specifically, adults who went to disneyland and have very little idea of what to do now that theyve arrived. Disney "Pros" dont need to be told what the world showcase is or that a new ride called mission space opened recently. We watch for entertainment, not for guidance.

When I saw her on TV last month in DL, I was shocked. I thought I didnt like Krissa, but I missed her so much ! Megan expresses no real joy, just "I'm reading my lines and smile in front of the camera" type of thing. I didnt like her at all.
