well that and cause she is such a hypocrite, but on the other hand I wont buy anything that Paris Hilton sells either so it goes both ways!
Red Robins anyone? She is in the new campaign for the burger joint. She's washing a car and getting soap all over her and basically posing like a stripper all over the car. In one scene she is HOLDING a burger, but never does she take a bite or anything.

Thats stupid.

Also, to the topic on hand, does anyone know what the official top 7 is for Disneyland? I'd be curious to see how high up they have Soarin' (if they include DCA), and any of the newer things.

I KNEW I could count on you! And why did I not know it would be food? I think they've got the #1 down for sure.

Thanks Gordon, next time I'll just PM you for the answer. I don't want to have to get side-tracked and start pulling out my hair, because that would be bad (I don't want a bald spot and look ugly and deformed).

Anyone want to do some shameless plugs on here for any products that they work for, model for, act for, etc? :zipit:

How about Grace's Salon hair straightening cream (citrus scent)... I just took pictures for the ad this morning, and needless to say... the straightened my hair using an iron. There was no mention of the cream at all...

It's interesting how none of the products I've modeled for so far have actually been used ON me... now that I'm taking the plunge into more then just hair modeling, we'll see how that works out...

Speaking from a consumer standpoint I believe that it depends on the product and the consumer as to how it is sold. I am sure that many people are to smart for corporate america's schemes, but there are many people that are not (and I am not implying that is anybody on here). There are many teenagers that I grew up with that would buy face-soap from a pretty faced teenager, because obviously it looked like it worked.
Also I am reminded of Subways commercials with Jared. I don't believe Subway would have gotten the right message out with a still-fat Jared (not that there is anything wrong with that). Every time I go there I think in the back of my mind I am eating healthy fast food......not because it is Subway but because Jared lost all that weight.

People choose what is necessary first, and then what is pleasing. I believe that is part of Maslow's Hierarchy.

(Sorry for drifting the thread further)

(Now for a slightly on topic post)

If Disney is supposed to operate family oriented parks who are these Top 7 attractions hosts supposed to appeal too? I am just kind of curious who determined that the hosts need to be women. I am not complaining I am just curious, because I would guess the average amount of guests in WDW/DL are at least half female if not more. Especially with all of the cheerleading groups I have seen entering WDW recently. Anybody got any answers why there isn't a male choice or even just a neutral costumed character for all?

Attractive Male Host - Appeals to women only
Attractive Female Host - Appeals to both men and women
Unattractive Female Host - Forces you to change the channel

A Top 7's job isnt necessarily to sell a product since, as said earlier, we've already paid. So their primary duty is to inform you of what to do and to keep you interested enough that you dont change the channel while youre sitting around the hotel room.

Kryssa was watched by even those who hated her. But i dont think many people will be watching Megan looped over and over.

I actually think I can come up with a segment of guests (other than women) that would find attractive men appealing, but that is not the point.
I am curious as to what an attractive female host has to offer to a family? I mean you say that an attractive female host appeals to women, but what mom/grandmother/daughter (other than the obvious) really cares how beautiful the host is?

Now no offense but your saying that they don't need to sell a product, but then you seem to defend the argument but giving examples of how products are sold. I am not taking a trip to a casino in Las Vegas, so why do I need anything other than a Disney character to entertain my family through the Top 7 Attractions. (Again I have no problem with the format that Disney is using now, I am just wondering why it is the way that it is.)

It just doesn't add up to me, because the majority of people I see at WDW are female (usually), and it just doesn't seem like they really care whether the host is attractive or not. It is only us guys that do (most of the time).
