The line at the kiosks consists of hundreds of people. I'm also about to use my 3rd FP and can't add more.

It's a joke.
Well at least that means they won't be in line for attractions lol

Magic bands weren't working one of our nights. It stinks, but don't waste time on the phone with it.

Of course it did. But everyone who had already been issued a fastpass got to still use it because it was printed on paper. Now, there's no way of knowing your exact FP+ times without the app, or attempting to see it on one of the handful of FP+ kiosks with tens of thousands of other guests in the same boat.
The cast members at the attraction entrances will also be able to tell you what time your next Fastpass is.

Nothing will ever be perfect. I've had registers there freeze. It happens. The app itself was awful to use at times when I was there but the update seemed to help I think. It's technology. And you can use the kiosks in the park. It's not ideal and very frustrating I know. Their lack of ability to handle it is a problem. We are too reliant on technology anymore imho.

Again, the handful of kiosks can't accommodate tens of thousands of guests.

Also, "we" may not be reliant on technology. Disney essentially required that we use technology in order to plan our days at the parks. That was a choice they made, not something that inevitably happened.

I always screenshot my plans for the day..just in case. Phone could be dying, MDE could go down, etc. now if I lost my phone, I'd be screwed.

Technology breaks. They'll fix it.

That said, they could have spent that $2b on physical attractions and improvements which wouldn't cause these issues...
I was stuck on Spaceship Earth for way too long. We missed our illuminations FP, and the show altogether. My kid slept while I stared at the fake sky.
Physical attractions break as well.

Lol, my comment was somewhat self serving as I disagree with the spend on MDE.

1 Ride breaking down usually won't affect you unless you're on it.

And when my computer goes out at work because of an issue with software or my internet/cable at home goes out, or even my electricity. Heaven forbid. We should go back to Dot matrix printers, beepers, faxes, hand crank cars, wall mounted telephones, etc. It is technology and even the most reliable, most expensive systems have issues now and then. All it takes is on programming error or issue with an update. It happens. While inconvenient at times and also frustrating, it is part of life in EVERY industry, not just at WDW. The FP+ system works as it should and the ripple effect on things is still being worked on. But, dont just assume its only Disney who is going through issues like this. Breathe and enjoy the day. You are at WDW. Hard to feel sorry for someone complaining on a board while at MK when other people are at home working. Not sure how some of you ever enjoy a vacation. Complain about WDW when not there, complain when you are there. Geez.

Agree. And luckily when the Magic Bands went down on us we were at our resort..ran back to the room to get money. Would have been a lot worse if we were somewhere else. Someone else told me that some restaurants were taking names and room numbers if people didn't have their wallet.

Yup FP and ADRs written down in my wallet. Phone is switched off and in the safe. I'm on holiday to spend time with my DW not on FB or here.
Nice! I obviously take way too many photos.. so my phone isn't off until it dies.lol. I do keep everything in the "notes" section of my phone, and screenshots of MDE like I mentioned.

Shout out to the Fuel Rod for saving me!

But to be fair, I'm not paying anywhere from $47 to $125 a day to go to work, and when everything goes down at work, I don't have to deal with a disappointed daughter or son.

So I can empathize with the large numbers of spring break guests whose morning was impacted by this breakdown. It's got to be like the worst day ever before FP.
