McDonalds food being removed from Restaurantosaurus?

Eh, I really liked restaurantosaurus with it's Mcd's fries and whatnot. It was good for a quick pit-stop to grab food in the park and to get something you know that's going to be good because it's mcdonald's. Blah, bummer. I just hope they don't cut off ties with Mcd's in the parks, it's just another quick pit-stop place.

Is McDonalds chicken any more fattening than the chicken that Disney makes?

I'd rather have McDonalds chicken & fries over Disney's generic bland chicken.

I really like rest-o-whatever...but I am REALLY glad McDonalds is gone. I wish they would make it a sit down table service rest. They could theme the food to comfort food that would be served at a summer camp.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't understand getting McD's at a Disney park unless you are a picky 8 year old.....with all the other options, I don't get it. And it's not McD's bashing, I eat there on occasion (I get Big Mac cravings once every six weeks or so) but I see no reason to buy them when they are overpriced, and you can get them literally anywhere on earth. But to each there own.

Something I would like to see however, is just the opposite, why can't some fast food company, aka McD's, serve some of our favorites from the parks at their restaurants, i.e. DOLE WHIPS........geez, I would be hitting up Ronald twice a day. :D

Mcdonalds is disgusting. It is no way shape or form healthy for you. And this is coming from someone that used to frequent Mcdonalds daily when she was younger. :) I'm glad they're doing away with it.

I feel pretty indifferent about this. I'll be happy if it goes and if it stays won't really care. Although I wouldn't be too upset if McDonalds disappeared completely from the parks, like many other posters have said, you can get McDonalds anywhere in the world. Going to Disney you should get to try all different kinds of food, so I say force the picky kids to eat something they aren't used to. Of course we all know how that usually turns out.

Nuggets are Nuggets and Fries are Fries. If the Disney fries are cheaper to make or healthier, they made the right decision. But ultimately, I doubt there is a big difference.

along with a new dessert menu and a new menu
.... please someone say that they will still have Strawberry Shortcakes there. :)

haha well I don't have much of importance to add to this thread, and since I despise the restaurant, I don't much care what it serves...

But to the OP- you get a gold star for simply spelling the restaurant's name correctly!!! hahaha:sohappy:

Never eaten at McD's while in WDW and never care to....I never understood why get McD's at Epcot when there are *SO* many other good food options around World Showcase, even for the picky...

Never really saw the point for Mc Donalds food in the park but I guess it must sell pretty well somehow considering this has been going on since like....2003 or something o_O. I know it must of been after 2002 as I dont recall McD's being in the parks as much before.

In any case if I want McDonalds I'll stop at the one nearby AK or the one in Downtown.

That said I never knew about the special happy meals, kinda sad I missed those now. I miss Disney happy meals since McD's and Disney broke off their deal together.

They need some good chicken nuggets in Disney.

Bring on KFC i say. Oh and Burger King would be good.

And its not like there aren't enough McDonalds around the parks anyway

IMHO, McDonalds needs to leave the parks altogether. But Dinoland would be a great start for sure. Atleast get rid of the brain-numbing advertising on DINOSAUR. The transition queue from the preshow to the load is constantly bombarded with the following announcementS:

"DINOSAUR WAS BROUGHT TO YOU BY MCDONALDS CORPORATION."
(5 seconds later)
"THIS ATTRACTION WAS BROUGHT TO YOU BY A GENEROUS GRANT FROM THE MCDONALDS CORPORATION."
(5 seconds later)
"MCDONALDS FUNDED THIS RIDE YOU KNOW."
(5 seconds later)
"MCDONALDS MCDONALDS MCDONALDS?":brick::hurl::hammer:

I'm not seeing the need for all the McDonald's bashing in this thread.

If you don't like McDonalds, don't eat there. It's that simple.
I do know, however, that a LOT of adults do enjoy McDonalds as do their children and Disney has always been about making their guests happy.

I also know, that as a former U.S.D.A. Food inspector, (for 10 years) McDonalds food is MUCH healthier than a LOT of other choices people make in the parks ie Pizza, some of the decadent Pastries in France and Norway, and the greasy Fish and Chips in the UK pavillion just to name a few.

I'd also be willing to bet that the burgers in McDonalds are healthier than the ones found in Pecos Bills, Cosmic Ray's or The Electric Umbrella at EPCOT Center.

McDonalds has strict rules about what goes into their burgers and I can tell you from experiance that their burgers contain less fat than most fast food burgers, and unless you just buy extra lean ground chuck, probably less fat than the burgers some of you eat at home.

As for fries, I bet most people would agree with me when asked, that McDonald fries, when hot and freshly made, are much tastier than the greasy, limp, soggy fries sold all over Disney property.

As for dining at McDonalds, it's like anything else, moderation is the key. An occasional trip to McDonalds is fine, but a steady diet of their menu isn't recommended.

It was rumored a few months ago that McDonalds would be leaving the California parks. I guess this is the next step.
