Pre-Trip May The Force Be With Us...

May The Force Be With Us

…because I am going to need all the help I can get!

I know, I know, I took forever to finish my Sept 18 TR and now it feels like this trip is right around the corner!

Me aka mom – who takes 10 months to finish writing a trip report.

Ross aka Grumpy aka the Croc-less wonder. My wonderful Mickey ears wearing, husband of 27 years who I want to kill after spending a week 24/7 with him. (He spent a decent portion of this trip snoozing.)

Hope aka The Hopester – my baby girl who is now what Disney Dining considers an adult. Diagnosed with Autism and Sensory stuff, but has come so far.

Look how little she was...

And now - my Disney adult. lol

Julia aka Sissy. My 17 year old daughter – I don’t know how that happened. She was 6 the first time she went to Disney and now she is 17 and is a beautiful young lady and I can’t stand it!

The When:

September 5th – September 21st We are splurging with another long trip. I managed to sign Julia up for a couple of late sprint classes at college, so she can get away with missing the beginning of September, but this may be it for us, as far as September trips go. 😢

The Where:

September 5th – 7th AoA – LM room

September 7th – 21st POP

The Shenanigans:

Well, we are already dealing with 2 issues that could make for some good trip report drama. Would you expect any less from us?

I think I recall in one of your old trip reports that you did a split stay but still stayed in the same room. If so, did you have to check in and check out again? We have a set up like that this trip and can't find an answer online.

We have done a split stay and stayed in the same room. Our most recent time doing this was last September at POP and I stopped by the front desk a couple of days before we checked out to make sure we were in the same room and that was it. I never went back to front desk to check out/in again. We actually had 3 split stays (1night/14 nights/ 1 night) and we stayed in the same room the whole time. The first split stay I did go to the front desk to make sure that were were check in for the second part of our stay because we had the dining plan for that part and I wanted to make sure it was activated so we could get our mugs and eat.

That’s what I’ll be doing, after movies we have one night at pop and then out package starts with 8 nights at pop. Wanna make sure everything works

That is INCREDIBLE that Hope entered her PINY competition! I'm going to have to make her HAPPY Pancakes in my house!!!! 🤩🤩😍😍 Wonderful that Julia got involved AS a leader this year and WAY TO GO on her video!!!! 😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩

Sorry about all the tumbles and flu bugs. I hope you recover well enough to enjoy this trip. It's crazy how unpredictable hurricanes really are!

I am glad that Hope is healing up. Her poor foot! I’m also glad that you weren’t hurt worse when you tripped! It looks like you must’ve went down hard because you’ve got lots of bruising! Now it’s time for you and Julia to feel better from your colds. I really hope Dorian stays out of everyone’s way. I think you are getting all the possible drama out of your way and you will have a fun and smooth vacation!

We are all on the mend! Thank you so much!

do you have amazon prime? Amazon prime NOW will deliver to AOA within 2 hours... I'm getting all my breakfast stuff and drinks thru them when we get to POP...

and good grief all 3 of you need bubbles to live in until you get to Disney.. and maybe even then you need them!

Amazon was awesome - they credited my account, told me to reorder it for the correct address and then told me to keep the water that was delivered to me. And yes - we need a bubble.

There ain't nothing like HOT WISCONSIN CHEESE!! We can get deep fried curds at probably half of the sit down restaurants in town as appetizers. MMmmmm... good choice Julia! :geek: They're good fresh, as well. They squeak!

Thanks for clearing that hurricane out of the way for us. We do appreciate that. hee hee hee. I hope it isn't too bad for everyone involved.

You guys better just sit still in one place for a few days and heal. Yikes!! Travel SAFELY.

Well, hopefully we are cleared for take off on Thursday! That's funny how the shoes curds are so common to you and they were so "unique" to us. lol Safe travels to you too!!

I'm approving of those Wisconsin cheese curds too!

haha yes - she is now a big fan of the curds!

I'm so proud of my girls! I admit, there was a time I didn't think Hope would be capable of participating in PINY, but whenever I lacked in faith, Julia was there to back her up. It was a great feeling to watch her and see her sense of pride!

ask for Triple Helix powder, it promotes tissue growth and works wonders..i went to a wound care clinic for a laceration in my forearm and it sped up the healing process

Thanks!! I will have to keep that in mind and purchase some. It sounds like something good to keep in a first aid kit!

Well it looks like you have great timing as the parks open back up tomorrow and MCO opens back up tomorrow , and the weather lookks good for Thursday, i hope you have a safe and blessed trip.

Thanks so much!!! I'm hoping so! The weather looks good in Florida and not so terrible in NY, but I'm worried about all the mess between NY and Florida that might hinder our flight.

2 Days to go!!!

I got this in my e-mail...

IMG_0226.jpg

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. We are all on the mend and I am making my final preparations around the house. And as if Dorian isn't enough to make my stomach queasy and make me nauseous, I am also experiencing MAJOR "boy" drama. Good grief!!

I visited with my folks today. I wanted to see them before we left and it was a good visit.

I have one suitcase left to pack up with our last minute items. Ross is making fun of my 200 pounds of luggage coming with us. I actually needed a small carry-on suitcase to contain our mouse ears! It was the only way to keep them from being damaged! Yes, I guess I do have issues!

Conversation between me and Julia earlier today...

Me: There are about 10 Magic-board people that we may get to meet on our trip. ISN'T THAT EXCITING?!?

Julia: Are we meeting @Tuvalu ?

Me: No - she will not be there this time.

Julia: Oh.

Me: You're not excited about meeting everyone else?

Julia: Yes - of course I'm excited. It's like meeting friends that you never imagined you'd get to meet in person. But it's just that @Tuvalu is like meeting a celebrity. :hilarious:

No - we've never remained in the same room during our split stays. But @Pooh'smate said, it can be done.
