The lack of breaking records (which it is doing so, BTW) as a standard of "it's doing horrible" is one of the most ridiculous things I've seen on these boards.

Oh I like how he tries to come up with any reason to try to be right. He is one of these people that want to impress others with his "knowledge" and fails almost every time. Labor Day is not a "real holiday"?!?

Why are Marvel Studios movies the only movies expected to pre-pandemic box office numbers?
And why when a Marvel studio movie is also day-and-date streamed, or has its date moved; it's because "Disney doesn't have faith in the movie," or "it's going to bomb," but that line isn't thrown out at other studios' movies that are also streamed or have their dates moved?

Well to be fair, according to 1HAPPY, Labor Day not a real holiday. It's slightly below Arbor Day or Groundhog's Day.

Not true.
Ant-Man made $57.2 million in its opening weekend. Ant-Man was also an origin film showing that people are more interested in Shang-Chi's origins. Ant-Man was in the summer movie season showing that Shang-Chi captured a bigger audience despite being in the first week of September (which is never a big week in any year). Lastly, Ant-Man didn't open in a pandemic showing that Shang-Chi was still able to bring in more people when Ant-Man had a release date that had no burdens to it. I know I shouldn't be responding as you will probably keep coming back with these comments, but might as well show the facts!

Are you going off of Ant-Man’s worldwide opening weekend? If so, yes, Ant-Man did earn more. You have to remember that Ant-Man also didn’t open in middle of a pandemic where a lot of people aren’t going to movies. Also, Shang Chi doesn’t even have a Chinese release date while Ant-Man did. All things considered, this is not a flop.

It is a flop. It took 3 days to batley beat Fast 9, the 9th installment of a series. And is lowest Marvel opening to date. Next week it will drop HARD. No one showed up for it. Eternals will be worse.
