jt, again, the "expansion pad" to the north includes their fireworks storage bunker. Unless they don't plan on storing fireworks, that land is largely inaccessible for expansion.

all theyre doing is updating the animation.. itll be disney philarmagicesque... graphics wise... thats the latest technological animation for theme parks that are "allowed" to use as of right now... but there isnt going to be a change in ride programming or effects ...

Man-Thing would be a fine fit for WDW just from his whole position in the Marvel Universe. Yeah, he technically lives in the Florida Everglades, but the resort as a whole sure does fit the bill of a Nexus of All Realities.

Ummm no one said they were changing the ride... I noted how the animation was crisp, clearer, 3D much better... Ride is just extra amazing with the better graphics...

That is likely due to the new digital projectors. The new animation has not yet been implemented.

I can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that Marvel characters will be in the Magic Kingdom on October 27th :lookaroun ... around 7pm look near the entrance :lookaroun

I saw that... No offense taken... Just didn't want it to sound like I was saying they changed the ride in any way... No biggie, no problem... The digital projections make the old animation look newer...
They're probably no where near a deal to bring the Marvel characters to WDW. However, I think that it would be cool to add them to the Streets of America and maybe expand it into the parking lot to become Marvel Studios. The Streets of America are eerie when it's not the holidays. They're almost empty.

SO, lol we were both wrong... I just looked up something and they are incorporationg a new Intec system that will make the movements and jumps...smoother and quicker... and the effects like water fog and heat will be sharpened... along with new sets... so i guess they really are giving it a real refurb...

Yea a marvel studios is almost inevitable for disney... i assume theyre mindset is, we own the content why not make a profit from it.... So i think after the FLE and after Avatar is implemented into AK .... DHS will need a bit of a refurb... possibly some new updates on rides...some new rides... the rumors of Pixar Studios expanison.. possible muppets studios... but if Disney really wants to make DHS feel "new".... a Marvel Studios needs to be placed... they can do so much more with it... BUT because of contracts... they cannot do anything Spiderman or Wolverine... for some odd reason.. but the avengers and thor and capt america and hulk is theres to use

No Marvel character used in a more than incidental manner by Universal can be used by Disney east of the Mississippi River. There's more to it than that, but if you want the details you can read the agreement posted on the SEC website.
The presence of the Hulk attraction clearly is more than incidental; A character used only as a sign or part of a backdrop, for instance, may be available to Disney.

They absolutely cannot use any of those characters. All are featured prominently for contractual terms in MSHI. Hulk is used as the feature character for a ride, Thor and Captain America are a part of the meet and greets, and the Avengers in general are considered key parts of the theme being featured prominently in the artwork and area themeing.
Universal was very careful to use pretty much every Marvel character with anything approaching popularity and common public knowledge in a "major role" in MSHI.

And to lock things up even further the contract says that if they are using one member of a "family" of characters then they have exclusive rights to the entire family. The contract specifically mentions The Avengers as an example, so since they have the Captain America Diner that gets them all the Avengers, Storm Force Accelatron gets them all the X-Men, and Doctor Doom's Fearfall gets them all the Fantastic Four related characters.
