If Avatarland hadn't happened, maybe. But since Avatarland is happening, Disney wouldn't do anything substantial with Marvel even if Uni handed the rights back to them (which obviously ain't happening).

After Avatarland, maybe. But that's a long, long way off. At this point, Lucasland (as improbable as that is) is probably more realistic.

What does the refurb schedule for Spiderman look like? Will there be significant downtime and when will it be?

Huh? The ride system and the sets are staying the same.

And I think it's pretty much guaranteed they won't be closing Spider-man for the Christmas/Thanksgiving season.

Sorry i read it wrong.. the Initech system IS the new 3d hd 4k projection animation system... and I DID read somewhere there will be minor set changes but i cant find the article now...in which i also read it will be ready for reopen but FEB 2012.. .which I insinuated results in a closing in Late december.. .wouldnt you think?

They can replace the projections one by one over night, more than likely (or maybe over a few nights each). If they have to close down to replace set pieces longer than overnight, I would expect that to happen right after the NYE crowds leave. If they plan it right and have everything ready to go, it shouldn't take too long I would imagine. The ride is in otherwise pretty good repair, so its not like they would need to spend time fixing up broken effects and what not.

Well whylightbulb just threw us a morsel and confirms Transformers is coming to Universal Orlando. And not just a clone but something unique.

Someday you will learn to trust me.


OK mouse the ball is once again in your court. Here is my wish list:

Replace Fantasmic with WoC or Nemo from DAK. OR BOTH! Imagine being able to run both shows during the day. Doesn't seem too complicated to me.

Fix Energy

Fix JIYI

Add a country or two to WS

Add Discovery Bay to the MK

Build Hyperion Wharf

Make the WoL pavilion a weather based attraction with Stormrider

But an attraction in the Japan, Germany or UK pavilion.

Star Wars Land (or Lucasland)


Any two of these (or any two new adds on a similar scale) would make me (and a lot of other folks I suspect) AP holders for life. :)
