I met him years ago when Star Tours first opened...he had a meet and greet and a question and answer session, this was years before the Star Wars weekends.....I found him to be VERY VEEEERY full of himself. He then had a bodyguard with him when he was walking around the park, he stood next to me at one of the parades....he was looking around like "Why am I NOT being swarmed"

I saw Star Wars on opening day in the drive in movie theater in the back of my parents hatchback.

I have to laugh, probably because no one is old enough to know that he is Luke Skywalker! Not too many of us can say "I saw Star Wars in the movie theater!" I do, I was only 6 at the time. Went with my older brother who was 13. I work with a 20's crowd (I'm in my late 30's) and it's awful how aged I feel some days. One girl, although extremely flighty, did not even know there was a Star Wars trilogy in the 70's!!

THIS IS HUGE PEOPLE!!! How awesome would it be to see Mark Hamill in his Luke gear! If I did not have a crush on him then...
Perhaps you underestimate the age of a lot of posters, and the intelligence of Star Wars fans.

I'm 15 and I know he's Luke Skywalker:shrug:. I didn't see him at the movie theatre because I wasnt born but still, i'm not stupid to not know he's Luke Skywalker.
See, Alex knows who he is!

Seeing a bad actor who managed to be in a ridiculously popular movie walk out of a hotel would be like seeing the Beatles live?
no...because all of Mark Hamil is alive. If I saw the Beatles live there would be a rip in the time-space continuum.

Would it be funny if he was in a stormtrooper outfit at this weekend and was hamming it up doing the pre-show and no one realized it was him? Back on Friday one of our fellow poster have picture of a stormtrooper hamming it up during/ before Darth Vader entrance I thought It was unusual for a security stroomtrooper. I surprise if he was there right now that no one yet seem him in any of the parks yet.

My first date was Star Wars. I was 17 (I'm sooooo old) and we doubled with another couple. I missed the scene in the bar because I was watching to see when her hand went into the popcorn. Then I reached in at the same time pretending that I was unaware that her hand was already in the popcorn bag and... Oh My Gosh, our hands touched. Man was I a dork!!

That's funny that you say that because I met him in NYC in the early 90's and he was VERY friendly. I met him and his wife and son at the opening of the Warner Brothers store there. He did the Joker voice, among others, signed autographs for everyone. He seemed to be very nice and approachable person. When you were done he even took time to shake your hand before you left. Maybe you just saw him on a bad day?

You really should have gone with the other "popcorn trick".

who is that? im not into star wars, but would like to know who this is.

He... uh... he played Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy. He's pretty much a geek icon.

His acting career after that has been lackluster to say the least (I'll agree that he's not exactly a master thespian). He was the voice of The Joker on Batman: The Animated Series in the early 1990's. I guess that's something. Otherwise it's been cameos and bad direct-to-video fare.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I would probably turn into a giddy little kid if I met him. Half my childhood was spent listening to him whining about picking up power converters.

Lackluster is putting it mildly. Can any one say Corvette Summer? But his involvement as a voice in animation is quite extensive. He has done voices on more that 100 animated series including Avatar, Tigger and P00h, Justice League, Batman as well as a major role in the Video Game Wing Commander 3-5.

My point has been made!!! I think it may be a 70's thing. If you were at least a child in the 70's you know who Mark Hamill is! It's like not knowing who Bruce Jenner is, (and I mean before his reality special.)
