a lot worse things out there than a ride at a theme park to freak someone out. child or adult. I'll take a stretching room any day or the week.

Good thing she didn't experience the CM that moves right next to you when the lights turn out. Was the only one in the stretching room once late at night and got a good jump from it. Loved it though! Kids need a good scare every so often.

...Not to mention that guy in the stretching room in the dark who tried to cop a ... oh wait - that was my hubby - never mind !!

OK what the heck is ITTBAB? Can't figure it out!

And just to correct something in the sub-topic, Roe v Wade is not a law it is a Supreme Court Opinion. So no LAW changes when
Polls say more Americans are pro-life.

Sorry, but no, it has been majority rules since our great country was formed. Just because something offends or a minority disagrees with something, NEVER makes it the right thing to do. Please tell me ONE time that the minority was right, and we the majority, had to go along with something that we didn't agree with.
The Constitution would have been a lot shorter and the Bill of Rights wouldn't have been considered necessary if the Founding Fathers had trusted majority opinion to decide everything.

This just in-The Haunted Mansion to close for a lengthy 4 year refurb, removing several show elements, which numerous guests have called "too spooky" by Helicopter Parents Quarterly, and "icky" by Mckenzie, age 4 (but very big for her age!). Upon reopening, the once-lauded attraction will then be called "The Really Neat House" in which guests will sit aboard their spongecake-lined vehicles and see all the inoffensive and downright sensible things that The Really Neat House has to offer:
  • Marvel at how tidy it all is!
  • Gasp (in unobstrusive, safely-lit wonder) at all the sensible storage solutions inside The Really Neat House!
  • Relish in the glow of three million energy-efficient light bulbs!
  • Sing along with Harry, the butler of The Really Neat House, to the tune of Well-Lit Rooms are Most Frugal-a real toe tapper, composed by the Sherman Brothers!
Fun Fact: Well-Lit Rooms are Most Frugal was originally written for Monsanto House of the Future, but tucked away after Walt Disney heard the song and said "What? What's that? Why? Who let you in here?! Who ARE you anymore, Bob?!" Well, we went and rummaged it out of the vault, and now it's here at The Really Neat House to stay!

The headline for the HM on the official Disney website is: "Embark on a spine-tingling tour through an eerie haunted estate, home to ghosts, ghouls and supernatural surprises." That's pretty straightforward, and there is a more detailed description provided below that. If guests may be prone to discomfort caused by certain ride/show elements, it never hurts to do a little bit of research ahead of time and/or inquire with a CM.

That's really not a determination for you to make. Every child is different. The issue here is not whether a 5 year old should or shouldn't be frightened by HM, but rather, the parent's braying that it should be changed to accommodate her child.
Im sorry 5 is too old and that is just a little sheltered snowflake thatsscared of their own shadow and will stay that way until Mommie quits hovering and says suck it up and deal and stops sheltering and saying Mommie will make Disney change the big bad dark ride.

Hey now...lets be honest....we have all wet our pants at least once in the stretch room....nothing to be ashamed about.
