Mannequins and 8TRAX will be reopening soon?

How to make the AC instantly profitable: Cover charge for it alone. No free admission for anyone, including CMs.
Done. Fixed.
I would have gladly paid, but it wouldn't have made sense at the time. I'd gladly pay $20 a night. That's alot of bang for your buck.

Did you hear they're bringing back Horizons and moving it to the MK?

What about taking Small World and moving it to EPCOT?

How about bringing 20,000 Leagues to DAK?

Well, a bus driver told me all of the above ... and guess what?

They all are as likely to happen as Disney reopening clubs it owns on TSFKaPI.

But I know with no news what do you do? Make it up.

Hey ... it works for FOX ... and CNN ... and CNBC ... so why not WDWMAGIC?

Here's one right here.

(Not that I hold a grudge or anything against those evil, heartless, money-grabbing , short-sighted, guest-ignoring, show-cheapening, MBA-clutching weasels.):lookaroun

Just put it all out there Lee!! :ROFLOL: At least we know where you stand. I couldn't agree with you more. I lived in orlando for 5 months to open a hotel and visited it 3 times. I agree with Figment that the regulars tend to ruin it for others.

I agree with the dinner show. I had said the same thing in another thread. Just turn the upstairs to a small diner.

I like a woman (or a man) who appreciates the fine art of sarcasm.

It really is an art that so many people don't appreciate.

As to face-to-face, I like to keep mine hidden ... but you never know where I might be in 254 days, but you can be sure it won't be at any former PI clubs unless I'm consulting for someone about to take over one of the places!

~Iger said they're closing EPCOT!!!~

Good. You need to teach that little angel sarcasm at a young age. It will make her life easier and happier in the long run.

Sarcasm can be better than pixie dust ... well, OK, almost as good when used in proper doses (consult your doctor).

Hah! You have obviously never seen me on a dance floor ...:eek::eek: (that's what the others on the floor look like)

Yay! Another AC hopeful thread! Yay!

IT'S CLOSED. THE CLUBS HAVE HAD ALL SIGNAGE AND PROPS REMOVED...

MOVE ON.......

The only reason they haven't been ripped apart is because the new 'tenants' are not secured for those 2 buildings yet..

They said it last year

They said it in letters and emails

Iger said it at the shareholders meeting (don't twist his words... he said NO!)

It's GONE! You are doing it a disservice by dragging this on..

Never fear folks... it appears that the eternal optimist has arrived.

Now come on, you don't actually want that. Where would you troll around if not for these threads?

Good point.

Original Poster
From Kingbob atwww.savepleasureisland.blogspot.com

"Over on the Disney boards poster Maistre Gracey quotes sources telling him that Adventurers Club will be reopening in 2010 as a dinner show type club. That does sound like a viable way to get AC to earn revenue since presumably all future operations must pay for themselves and earn a profit."

Again...just rumors!

I find it hard to believe the AC just broke even considering it was frequently rented out for parties and the ticket was $20. I don't buy the unprofitable argument one bit.

Really??? So they would just up and close AC even though it was making a ton of money?

Too many people around here base their opinions on nothing but pure emotion.

Yeah, basically. 8-Traxx and Mannequins, too, which both made even more money. It was more about the corporate ideal of not having to run anything than a pure profitable/unprofitable analysis.
