Mannequins and 8TRAX will be reopening soon?

I think a resurrected PI, with only 3-4 dance clubs open and a much more aggressive ticket pricing structure would help it become more profitable. and if capacity in those clubs become sustainably high, then move to open one more. Like someone said earlier... near-empty clubs are turn-offs to those looking for a place to dance and party.

In addition to remodeling the clubs to bring them up to today... I don't have any other suggestions, other than market the hell out of them.

And CM's free for one night a week is a good PR move...but 7 is just ridiculous. And I would like to see the under 21 CM's not being able to go in either.

I think it only became 7 nights a week to encourage business, it used to just be Thursday nights for Cast Members. Depending on what they did with Pleasure Island, if they reopened Adventurers Club and some snazzy new clubs, I would consider buying an annual pass, just like I do for the water parks.

I think enough time has past that people that miss the Adventurers Club and PI would fork over money to enjoy it for the time being. If they offered a PI annual pass for twice what they originally charged, people would jump at it.
I don't think they should let CM's in for free, and that effects me because I am a CM.
But I would buy the five nights for +5.00 or whatever that pass was called. Would I buy one every week? Probably not but at least twice a month.
PI can be profitable again. Walked by the waterfront last week again and saw the 8-Trax disco lights were still on, the house lights were still on inside as well as the lava lamps in the window and the restrooms sign. The girl working in CURL was BORED OUT OF HER MIND with no customers.

So if house lights, disco lights and lava lamps are up and working it doesn't sound to me like it would take much to have things up and rolling in a reasonable time. Certainly shoots down the comment that the clubs were stripped. Sounds like they covered the 8 Trax logo with a black sticker and moved on.

Heres an idea, they need to open the beach club and motion buildings and gate off the two walk ways to get to them. Those two buildings are quite large with outdoor areas behind, beside and in front of the buildings. Close off the two sidewalks that lead to motion and charge a fee to get into the area that would cover both clubs. This would allow normal traffic flow to the shops and also allow and adults area. They would end up having 2 stages, one in each club. Several bars in each club including the one outside and could play whatever music they wanted. Makes to much sense. lol I am sure there will be some here who will find some reason this can't happen...

They do need new furniture and bar stools for 8-Trax because it was on sale at Cast Connection a couple of months ago. The Beach Club was the first club to close as it was closed for a bit over a year now. Motion should go back to its original roots as a restaurant, (my opinion). The history of Pleasure Island is slowly being stripped as the placard on the Portobello Yacht Club stating that it was Merriweather Adam Pleasure's home was taken down after the refurb.

Alas, why must they keep taking away the little things that make Disney so great?:(

To be honest the whole thing of Pleasure Island is one of those things I didn't realize how great it was until it was gone. I think its great that Disney offered two seperate entities that shared the same backstory. Pleasure Island's founder Merriweather Adam Pleasure got lost at sea in Hurricane Connie, the same storm that created Typhoon Lagoon. Isn't that cool?
