OK, time to confess.

There are several moments/places, etc. that get me all choked up in Disney World. Illuminations, for example, can reduce me to a blubbering idiot.:lol:

My kids think I'm nuts. I told them when we went that they were going to see a grown man cry several times on the trip. I don't know why, but it has that effect on me. Gotta wear sunglasses!

Other things that can do it, walking into Main Street for the first time, or up to Spaceship Earth for the first time. Heck, just about any time.

So, am I nuts like my kids say? Or . . . let's hear it from the manly men that blubber at WDW! Where and why?

Nah, you're not nuts. In my world there aren't any rules on when a man should or shouldn't cry. There are some incredibly moving areas and sights in WDW.

OK...I'll confess...almost every time I see Wishes, I well up...it just makes me think about how Disney has made my life better...having Disney in my life made me an optimist...to be able to believe in things that you can't see.

However, the most emotional time I EVER had at a Disney park was at Disneyland right after 9-11. Again, at the fireworks show. They did the complete show of the fireworks and then did the add-on at the end that they usually do on the 4th of July, which is Kate Smith singing God Bless America...I don't think there was a dry eye in the place.

Oh, yeah. Golden Dreams, American Adventure.

Add that one to the list.

I got blubbery even at Dream Along With Mickey. It was the first day we were there as a family, a beautiful morning, and I just couldn't believe
I was standing there in front of the castle with the whole crew, awesome.

Glad to see I'm not alone.

Okay, I cried a little at the end of Journey into Imagination with Figment when they started the old Imagination song that I hadn't heard in almost 20 years...
and don't get me STARTED on Fantasmic or Wishes!

It happened to me once. In 2000 my family and I were separated during Illuminations. We saw the show, but not together and my son blamed himself, no matter how much his mother and I tried to explain it was not his fault. We were not able to get back to WDW until 2004. We made sure we were in a tight group and nobody was going anywhere without the rest of the group. As illuminations began I could see my son welling-up and I did too. There were big hugs all around. It is one of the reasons that Illuminations will always be my favorite.

You Wuss!!! j/k I'll admit during the nightly fireworks and all that at Disney Land I get goosebumps..but I dont' cry...I tend not to cry for things designed to make you cry (yes even Extreme Makeover Home Edition), but I do get goosebumps which is probably my equivalent.

I have never cried once at WDW although I have been known to get "fireworks fallout" in my eyes during illuminations especially during the peace on earth tag.:lookaroun

My husband will be crying next week when we're at California Grille watching Wishes while the Pens playoff game is on. I'll admit - I will be stressing out too. But 90 days ago, how was I supposed to know the game would be on!?
