the first time i enter the magic kingdom, i cry ! alot! not sure what it is, the emotions, the planning, the suns out.people are happy.
think it goes back to my child hood when, whenever a disney cartoon came on tv, i would rush downstairs and just be absorbed for 10 minutes i would be in my happy place. and now as an adult i really appreicate the whole disney thing about families, and being together.
walt disney was a great man, i have alot to thank him for, and i will one day!
wishes gets me choked up to, watched it with my daughter she was 13 at the time and was emigratting to new zealand with her mum, when we got back to the uk, so i knew i wasnt going to see her for long time afterwards. we were watching it and she took my hand and held it for the entire show.now just to hear the music im in tears.
phew i welling up now.gotta go:lookaroun

I guess I need to man up too! I find this strange substance in my eyes everytime during ROE in the "We Go On" finale. It also happens at the beginning of Wishes (and Remember Dreams Come True at DL as well).

Yep.
I've been know to have my eyes well up on occasion.:lookaroun

First time I remember doing it...
During the MK fireworks years ago (way before wishes, maybe Fantasy in the Sky?)
There was a moment in the middle where the music stopped and they played the recording of Walt talking about how it all started with a mouse.
Boom. I was done.
And I wasn't alone. Looking around in the crowd there were a lot of moist eyes, and best of all, an elderly couple clinging to each other and just bawling their eyes out and smiling.
At that moment I decided.....I have found my home.

End testimonial.

Ok my eyes water up a little at Wishes and Illuminations, and maybe when I first step on Main Street. But hey man, I'm not crying! :animwink:

I only had one moment...

We were at the world less that 2 weeks after 9/11. We debated cancelling the trip or driving in lieu of the panic over flying.

Our first night on property we went to Epcot to see Illuminations. The message that we need to unite as a world and as a people was never more clear.

I saw a lot of people crying that night.

I haven't cried since, but I've had plenty of sentimental moments in bringing my daughter, and seeing her do things like run up to and hug Mickey and Minnie when she was barely 2 years old.

I'll add another tear-up moment.
At Disneyland, especially at night.
Looking up at Walt's apartment and seeing that lamp lit in the window.
Wow.....

I cry at just talking about going..

Well I am 53 and I cry about DISNEY all the time. for one, my dad was a real tough guy when we were at home.. but only on vacation, did he become nice. So for me, Disney is a place where nice is a normality. that its always NICE.. and that I didn't get yelled at, when at Disney, or on vacation. Very nice.

but just writing this I have to watch myself..

and that's the truth. and I am not ashamed either.

Pretty much all of my moments have already been mentioned:

-Reflections of Earth's "Peace on Earth" holiday ending when Walter Cronkite starts speaking.

-"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" during Festival of the Lion King

-Golden Dreams at AA I'm fine until JFK Jr. saluting his father's coffin, and then it's all over for me... Even more-so at Jim Henson with Kermit and the new 9/11 addition.

-A few of the songs the Voices of Liberty sing before AA can get to me, most especially "Battle Hymn of the Republic"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAo-tsW_8AQ

-When Mickey says "So long everybody. See ya real soon!" and the music swells up during the Kiss Goodnight, especially if it happens to be the last night of my trip.

(and I'm tearing up now just thinking about these...)

yeah your nuts

i dont even remember the last time i cried, let alone in that happiest place on the planet

although i do think that i might get choked up after my dad dies and i go back to disney for the 1st time without him (ive gone without him tons of times, but going after hes gone, thats diff).

Ive had similar thoughts myself about my parents. Ive been without them and had a good time...but had the best times when they were there and we could all laugh and enjoy WDW. They are getting into their upper 60's now...and hard for my mom to get around WDW with all the walking...but it will be tough to go without them one day...but at least i will have the memories and photos of all of us together....and ready to make the same memories with my family and hope they think the same about me someday....

The time that really got to me was right after 9/11 and we went the first week flying was allowed at round trip from DFW was $80 yes $80...so we did it...

Anyway we were at Epcot and had walked to the back to USA and a band came out and were playing the national anthem and the medley to the Armed Forces...i had tears going down my face that i couldnt stop.....then later was illuminations...I sat in the park for 30 minutes afterwards...

Lots of stuff gets to me! Wishes, Illuminations (when the vocal music starts), most of the images at the end of American Adventure, the Voices of Liberty holiday shows, the rescue at the end of Finding Nemo, the title song in Beauty and the Beast. Sometimes the "welcome home" when we get to the resort gets to me. But my most memorable misty moment was when the ski lift was still operating, and we lucked up and got on it during the fireworks display. It was the most magical moment yet.

I will admit I get emotional these days.

I find it rather strange because it's come on over the last couple of years, pretty much since I entered my twenties, and I'm still too young to get so emotional over little things, I'm quite convinced I'm having a breakdown.

Almost burst out a few weeks ago at my sisters wedding, twice - after seeing her and then later when our Dad did his speach. I'm hoping that was normal. lol.

and yes.. Disney does make me "well up".. mostly the films though. I've been stupid enough to O.D. on the classics recently. Because of the clips in Fantasmic thats most likely to make me want to.
But also seeing people so happy in the parks. Like little kids going crazy with characters. That's the killer.

To be honest the most emotional time I had, the time I cried is when my Mom died.

Disney world, or my type of patriotism "July 1 in Ottawa" any other place or event has not even come close to that.

Yeah. Nothing gets me like seeing little kids meeting their favorite characters while dressed up as them. :o I saw a video on youtube of three little boys meeting Buzz Lightyear while wearing the Buzz Lightyear costume. It was so cute!
