You can't prove a negative.

Unless someone has something (even circumstantial) that suggests other than what was reported, we should just go with what was reported rather than accuse Disney of staging things. I say this for two reasons:

1) It's technically libelous
2) People will point at you and laugh
1) Technically, he said "it sounds like this could be planned by Disney." He didnt accuse anything, simply suggested it.
2) People pointed and laughed at some histories greatest men and women.

I'm sorry, I'm not sheepish and I don't let the media think for me! Without getting political...people letting the media think for them is a major problem in this country.

People taking a reactionary "I won't let the media think for me!" while failing to think it through is a bigger problem. Be as cynical as you want, question as much as you like, but use logic when you do so.

Could Disney have staged this? Yes they could. What advantage would they get? To show how good their security is perhaps? Of course they might also scare people away by making them think they are a target for mass shooters... Not really a smart play is it? And that's assuming they were able to do this and not get caught out. Which is again, unlikely.

On the other hand, we know these sorts of things happen all over the US (just pick up a newspaper any day of the week) and it's hardly the first time that someone has attempted to smuggle a gun into the Magic Kingdom.

So you tell me, which is the more likely scenario here?

1) He did so it's fuzzy enough he wouldn't be sued (not that he would have been anyway). But it's basically just accusation by innuendo.
2) True, but they actually built up their a case using facts and evidence. You know... the stuff that is completely missing here.

The bizarre behavior of the guy is the only thing that might at all suggest it is some sort of bad stunt. The fact he was a lawyer even makes it more suspect. Having said that, I don't think WDW would ever resort to this sort of stunt, only because the backlash would be insanely bad.

1) Im always down for some spicy innuendo
2) Good point

Fair enough. Lets just say it was the Annunaki working for the Illuminati and Count Chocula.

I could understand a persons desire to feel safe by carrying their fire arm with them in the event that something goes down. But I have a larger fear of the lack of experience and training most people have in an actual shootout. So many people take a fire arms class and all of the sudden think they are ready for a war zone. When bullets start flying though, they will most likely panic and just start shooting in whatever direction they can. Not exactly helpful.

ETA: Im aware that they are people who can handle themselves and their gun properly that would not just shoot randomly.

Something that I would find more believable, is that maybe this guy wanted to prove that he could smuggle a gun into Disney... maybe to make a point about the security. Of course... just speculations. we'll probably never know what his intentions were or if he had any.
