Man Accused of Stealing Buzzy's Clothing from Disney World Arrested

Brett Finley isn't a victim. He conspired with Spikes to sell and profit off of stolen Disney items in the black market. The stuff they found on Finley was just waiting to be sold. And I'm pretty certain we will soon see evidence of collusion between the two.

Wow... that's quite a bridge you've built there Inspector... all that from a single news article?

No, from the arrest affidavit too. Finley didn't store the dress at his house. And he met Spikes in a parking lot to buy it. Does this not set off red flags to you? Does it not seem illogical to you that Finley, a Club 33 member and avid Disney fan, wasn't aware Buzzy was stolen and by total coincidence bought this "super rare Buzzy... look alike?" from a very questionable source? It makes absolutely no sense. Finley knew what he was doing.
Also, Finley turned over 18 items according to the affidavit. Is that not extremely suspicious to you? The article also references Finley's attorney.... Hmm.. I wonder why he has one.

I'm speaking to your claims "He conspired with Spikes to sell and profit off of stolen Disney items in the black market. The stuff they found on Finley was just waiting to be sold. And I'm pretty certain we will soon see evidence of collusion between the two"

I buy stuff from people in parking lots all the time... it's what happens when people don't have retail and don't want individuals going through their home. If Finley knew it was stolen or grey market... I won't assume. It sure does sound like he's relying on plausible deniability. Remember tho, most Disney stuff is sold via 3rd parties or second hand. There are 10 million dollar collections auctioned off, etc... they didn't get the stuff at "Disney Off 5th". The path is often story based and involving multiple parties.

I suppose you're right regarding that but let's be real. Buzzy being stolen was big news in Disney circles. And this avid Disney fan was not only unaware of Buzzy being stolen, but also purchased what appeared to be an authentic Buzzy? I find that extremely difficult to believe.

Where are you connecting that he bought Buzzy?
I misread slightly. Lopez purchased Buzzy's clothes. BUT. It mentions that Lopez and Finley called Spikes together to ask whether or not it was stolen. So Finley was involved in the purchase of those clothes. Even if it was just a phone call.

"unknowingly?" What a joke. I don't care if he's a Disney fan. If anything, that makes it even MORE likely he knows it's contraband.
The other guy hid his HM dress at his mother's house according to the affidavit. This is all speculation, but I feel like if this guy believed he bought the clothes on the level he would have shared it on Social Media before the Missing Buzzy story broke out.

Exactly. He quietly stored it at his mother's house. So if they ever searched his house for contraband, they would not have detected the dress. I wish they mentioned where the 18 other stolen items were stored. I am willing to bet it was not sitting around his house in the open. Everything points to Finley knowing he was in possession of stolen items.
And of course, Finley has an attorney because he knows he will be in trouble soon.

For the record, I’ve never claimed to be or tried to pose as a Disney Insider. Any and all inside info I get comes from these boards, with the exception of the few things Spikes told me from his stint with WDI (Play Pavilion, Inno West demo (Which was already a strong rumor here anyway)) and the occasional few lines dropped to me in private which I can rarely validate as credible. I know a lot about Wonders and everything that’s gone on inside it for the last 30 years. I for better or for worse roped myself into this Buzzy story and that’s where I sit now. I don’t know much more than any of you do at this point

“The clothes were recovered”

“YOU’RE NOT CREDIBLE, FANBOY!”

“OCSO Recovers Buzzy’s clothes from Robin Lopez”

“....”

What are you talking about? You're trying to come back with the "I was right.." victim card? Have you forgotten what you've posted in the thread?
He didn’t take Buzzy’s clothes. Just some stuff from Haunted Mansion
Buzzy’s clothes were sold on the black market as well. Don’t believe they’ll be recovered unless someone comes out and says who sold them to them, and hands over the clothes
They’re part of a completely separate investigation which Patrick isn’t even part of.
